Custom Chalet-Style Townhome in Homer, 4 minute walk to museum and restaurants

Ideally located in Homer's artsy city center. This fairly new 1200 sq. ft., two story, custom town home offer three bedrooms, two full baths and completely outfitted kitchen. With two bedrooms with king beds and private balconies, it is perfect for two couples exploring Alaska together. And with a petite bedroom with queen bed, it also accommodates a family or group of six easily.

Master Bedroom Suite upstairs is soothing and spacious with King Bed, seating area, flat screen TV, hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings, and private balcony.

Second Bedroom upstairs also had King Bed, hardwood floors, and private balcony.

Third Bedroom is downstairs, across from the second private bath and has a full size queen bed.

Easy 4 minute walk to Homer's new wonderful Hornaday Park, museums, cafes, restaurants, and art galleries. Homer Old Town area is a short 10 minute walk, with multiple access points to Homer's sand beaches and Bishop's Beach area.

Pets are welcome upon approval in writing via sure to check in with us first! There is a pet fee of $30 per pet, per day. We ask the pet owners to not leave the pet unattended, keep the pet downstairs only, and to make sure the pet stays off of the furniture. Other than, we trust our guests, and are easy!

Home was magnificent! Plenty of parking with 2 vehicles, and a boat. Beds were dreamy, layout very good for our 6 occupants. Very clean, and well equipped for cooking meals, and laundry. Close proximity to everything. Loved this home!!

Great little house
We loved our stay in Homer, first time in Alaska. The house was accommodating and the beds were comfortable. The only thing, not necessarily a complaint but the living area was small, we had 6 in our group and there is only a small couch, room enough for three to sit on, others had to sit around the dining table to watch TV when we were all at the house at once, other than being a small living and dining area the house was great. There was great communication with the host when I needed a question answered.

We loved our stay here. Bedrooms had super comfortable beds with huge closets to organize your luggage. Kitchen was well-equipped and had first-rate non-stick pans (a rare find in our experience). We cooked up some wonderful meals with the halibut we caught. Highly recommend.

Our experience started out fine reserving the house. As the rental date approached we received no check in information. 24 hours prior to checkin I tried messaging through the app, plus texting and calling the phone number with no response. Day of reservation I finally contacted VRBO and they couldn’t make contact either. So we made a six hour drive to Homer not knowing if we were cat fished or not and hoping we would have cell reception when we arrived. Got to house and there was a note pinned to door instructing is to call a cell number to gain access. No one answered for half an hour after checkin time! Just ridiculous treatment.

Excellent small house, close to downtown
This property was a bit small for our group of 6 adults, and felt a bit impersonal, rather like a hotel room. The smell of cleaning products was overwhelming when we entered but it was fine after we aired it out. Sometimes that means that the place is not really clean but this place was clean and most of the furnishings were pretty new. The rooms were actually bigger and airier than I expected. Kitchen was pretty minimalistic. No salt. Didn't really have an area where we could all hang out easily together but we rearranged chairs a bit to make it work. Information sheets left on the table need to be updated... restaurants have changed hours or closed during the pandemic. Location is great, easy to walk to Pioneer Ave for restaurants and shops.

Gorgeous Homer Getaway
We had an excellent stay in this super cute and clean condo! It was so nice having multiple bathrooms and 2 comfortable king beds and a queen room! And the use of the hot tub over at the Inn was amazing, they even had cute little robes for the 5 year old girls! Kathy was so kind and accommodating to our group! We appreciate the extra touches so much! I definitely recommend staying here!!

Frustrating check in
I will start by saying the property itself is really beautiful, new, and close to all you need in Homer. However, the check-in process was a nightmare. I had sent a message to the owners through the VRBO app the day before about check-in information as we would be driving from Palmer to Homer and the cell service is spotty. I have never experienced not having that information the day prior or even earlier when using VRBO. I was assured I would be texted the information when the place had been cleaned the next day but before my 4 o'clock check-in. By 6 o'clock I had sent several messages on the app to the owner (they had not given me any other way to contact them) and finally called VRBO for help. They also could not get ahold of the owners but did give me a number to try and call. I was able to finally connect with the owner at the time and received check-in information finally to be able to access the home. This whole ordeal created a large amount of stress for me and my family traveling with me. There are few options for last-minute places to stay in the summer in Homer. Once we got into the townhome, overall it seemed spacious and well-appointed, however, there were dirty sheets still laying on the stairs! After being so late with check-in information, I would expect that the dirty laundry wouldn't still be in the home. If it weren't for these things I probably would have rated the house a 5. I would recommend the owners find a better check-in process as well as discuss the dirty laundry with their cleaning company.

I asked for the address and code a few days in advance- knowing I'd be driving large distances across AK with poor signal. I was told that they would provide the address and code the day of check in. It didn't happen. This created a tremendous amount of stress for me. The owners did not respond to me over several hours, or VRBO. Luckily Homer is a small town, and I spoke to someone who knew the owners, and knew how to track them down. We finally got in 3 hours late.

Our stay was very comfortable and the unit fulfilled all of our needs (except no rubber scraper? tons of knives, but no rubber scraper?). We cooked daily and the space and furnishings were totally adequate for 5 adults. The new heater gave us some trouble until we moved a piece of furniture that seemed to block the unit.

The property was perfect. It gave us the needed bedrooms and bathrooms, plus, the kitchen enabled us to eat in. Grocery store very close. The property owners were wonderful to work with. Super nice people.
