We greatly enjoyed out stay at this charming VRBO in Homer. You access the cabin down a marvelous outdoor staircase through the gardens. The cabin is charming, and both bedrooms look out at spectacular views through the tress. There is a hot tub in a planted green house on the property, where guests are invited to unwind. The owners were communicative, and made the stay a pleasure!
This cabin proved to be a delightful home base for our visit to Homer. Evelyn was a wonderful and welcoming host. She was quick to respond to all our queries and requests. We would definitely stay again.
This sweet little cabin was even cuter in person! Amazing view and cozy place, nestled in the beauty of the woods. We had everything we needed. They thought of many details that helped our stay work well.
We had a great night staying at this cabin in the woods. The check in/out was seemless and easy. Communication was wonderful. The cabin was nice and clean. It has a TON of natural light and the location/views are to die for. I LOVED the rock path and the porch swing on the deck. We had a great stay.
Private, beautiful & quiet cabin near downtown Homer.overlooking Kachamak bay view from the balcony, living room& bedrooms. Excellent service from Everlyn ! She had offered complimentary late check out for us .we will come back again.
This place is paradise. The views are spectacular. Evelyn is very responsive to texts, etc. Accurate description that this is not for those w/ mobility issues (long walk on gravel to get to place, steep stairs to attic bedroom, etc). We can't wait to return!!
We enjoyed our stay. The host was very responsive and helpful. The house is like a little treehouse which the kids loved. Home was well equipped. While it’s positioned closer to the highway, we didn’t hear traffic. Caution with larger groups-only 1 bathroom and the space is smaller. Beautiful views of the bay out the windows and a well maintained deck, made for a quaint oasis to return to after a day of exploring. Would return.
Beautiful location, getting to the cabin not described. 20-30 deep stairs, short walk thru unlit grassy area then more stairs, one stair was not connected, almost feel off when stepped on. No way to get luggage up or down stairs once inside.

Not Pet Friendly
I booked this property specifically so I could bring my dogs with me on a weekend vacation with some friends. The booking said pet friendly and even charged a hefty fee for bringing pets. I messaged the property manager after I made the booking to let them know who is coming and that I will have my two dogs. They responded saying that they don't allow dogs. It was too late to cancel with a refund. After I explained that I only booked because it stated it was pet friendly and it charged extra, she said she would make an exception.
After I arrived, the property manager texted me more rules about the dogs which I wish I had known before. It seems every day of my stay there was another rule about the pets. She also had her pitbull puppy running around the unleashed. After I checked out, she saw there was dog hair on the sheets and left a nasty message saying I ruined them.
There was also a couple other things on the property that were not great: bedroom door didn't shut, dining room table leaf broken, door handle to patio fell apart (she blamed me for). Tables were tiny and no room for all 5 guests to sit together, although there is a nice sized picnic table on the balcony if the weather is good. Bathroom is really tight.
On a good note. The views are amazing. It's right next to a creek and all you can hear is the water. Plenty of parking and easy to find. The deck was almost worth the hassle.
Pictures could have been much better because we didn't understand the layout of the house at all. The views were great, the cabin had a fun rustic theme. There were a few maintenance issues, such as the railing coming off. The host was very helpful with any issues she could help with. It was right off the highway which made it really easy access, while making it far away from anyone else. It was really nice but we didn't know what to expect because the pictures didn't do it justice at all. We are glad we went out on a limb without being able to see all of it.
Cabin on the hillside, beautiful deck with swing & water view. Evelyn responsive & attentive. Be aware not for everyone steep steps to hillside cabin, loft ladder to upper bedroom. Sets the tone for Alaska getaway knotty pine decor very cute. Kitchen stocked for. Coffee and condiments nice grill on the deck. Lovely memory maker!
