"This is a cute and quaint historical stop with loads of character and time honored style. All of the historical details of the hotel remain intact and it feels like you are taking a step back in time. The room was accommodating and comfortable, outfitted with an antique wardrobe and writing desk. I wish I had more time to stay but was needing to get back for an appointment. The staff was amazing, I had broken my ankle prior to my move to Wyoming. When I arrived (in the middle of the night) I informed the gentleman’s I had three large totes of live plants in my vehicle and asked if there was somewhere in the lower level I could leave them overnight. (It was -15 outside). He informed me I could leave them in the parlor. I thanked him and headed out to my truck to ponder how I would get them inside. Did I mention I also had my dog on a leash at the same time 😂. As I grabbed my bag out to take it inside the gentleman walked up to my truck and began grabbing the totes for me and taking them inside. I was amazed at his kindness and eagerness the help me. The small town houses a Worlds largest Czech egg and historical locations. The small gas station offered friendly smiles, fresh coffee and treats for the road. Go visit this happy little town and this unique 1899 hotel. "

"This is a very quaint home. I loved that there were lights left on for our late arrival and even some soothing music playing when we entered the home. The decor nice and very welcoming. However, this home would benefit greatly from a cleaning. The bathroom had not been cleaned at all and guessing that it's been quite some time since it's been dusted. And while the owners or the management company's attempt to make the home smell fresh, it was overpowering- we unplugged 9 plugins in this small home. We attempted to contact someone, using the contact information at the house, regarding the instructions for putting the trash into the bin outside and to the curb on the designated day, but it went unanswered. Since we never located the outside bin, we placed the trash on the porch, not the curb, so that it didn't blow away. Again, this is a very quaint home and with a few small tweeks (in my opinion), would be the perfect home away from home in Great Bend."
