Great location, but could be even better...
The property is right in the centre of Holt, so handy for all the shops, restaurants and amenities. Although the property is on the second floor, this allows a vantage point to people watch, and see the town wake up, or the Sunday market setting up! When we arrived, we checked to see if bread, milk, sugar, tea, or, as we had seen in other welcome packs, a cake... Nothing was provided. Okay, not the end of the world, but it would have been a nice gesture. There was no storage space for food, drinks etc., so this would be an improvement for anyone else self catering. Losing surface space, or leaving items in a bag on the floor was not great. The TV reception was intermittent, but was generally okay. The TV wouldn't switch on with the remote, but by switching off the plugs, and switching the plugs on again, the remote allowed switch on. Little things, like a lack of soap or hand cleaner in the bathroom caused a little bemusement, but we got around it. But some thought on how guests would use the let needs to be given - a shelf/rack blocks the area above the small sink in the bathroom, making it difficult to shave or brush your teeth, or wash your face. Not impossible but not easy! Little things, but nothing that ruined our stay - but it could be better.
