"Excellent pub with excellent food, lovely rooms. Carpet in the hall up to room very dirty and cleaner said she could not scrub it, because of what it was made of. I thought a bit impractical if that was the case. The rest of the place was spotless. The food was excellent. Area and atmosphere great. I would definitely return. "

"The White House is fabulous. Everyone is so friendly and the decor and setting are stunning. The food is delicious - we loved the Wednesday supper and dining in The Acre restaurant. The complementary homemade cookies and cake in the afternoon were a lovely touch. We can’t wait to stay again."

Only disappointment was the overhead shower, having reported no hot water , although the attachment hose worked , Got told someone would look at it . No correspondence from the hotel management to the outcome . Next day overhead shower still no hot water . Shame it spoit the experience of staying at the Kings head . "

"Great room, small but very quirky and lots of extra touches such as bottled water, fresh milk and KitKats! Just had to remember to duck through door frames. Good sized bathroom and shower plus walk-in wardrobe provided plenty of storage. Cooked breakfast was excellent. Didn’t sample rest of pub food as only stayed one night but the list of desserts was impressive. Will definitely stay again when next in the area."

"The cottage and garden were perfect for us, loved our surroundings, peaceful walks with the dogs ( tho they became a little noisy with other dog walkers). The biggest dissapointment was distance to the beach and trekking over the sand dunes. Not a problem if we were all 10yrs younger, but overall beautiful. "

"As far as the stay I honestly couldn’t fault it my bed was super comfy I stayed in the queen suite with shared bathroom it was spotless and warm too Helen had the radiators on and an electric blanket in the bed which was much welcomed as I stayed mid- January. If you do stay in this room just switch the blanket on and wait an hour you might not be able to feel it to the touch but once you get into bed you’ll feel it. There was plenty of tea & coffee plus nice little touches like water chocolate...
