I read the many negative comments - but used my intuition. The Homee is a really fun and interesting place. The neighborhood is vibrant with almost no expats wandering around. The Homee itself seems to be kind of a place for university students to stay. It has a nice open-air cafe on the 4th floor. I had daily cleaning (including fresh towels daily). It's a funky place in a funky neighborhood. No, it's not near the tourist crap. If you want the tourist crap, don't stay here. It's in a good general location for visiting D1, D4, D7. Lots so super cheap local restaurants. Endless Vietnamese-style coffee shops, laundries, barbers. It's a slice of Old Saigon right in the middle of New Saigon. If you need Western stuff, the Vivo Mall is a 5 minute walk. If you want to completely escape all that, the streets immediately surrounding The Homee Cozy are for you. (Note: In all rooms, the beds are up a set of narrow and/or curvy stairs. I'm a big, burley guy and I made it. I'd have preferred the bed was not up those steps - but that's the way it is at the Homee Cozy. If you don't want this, don't stay here.) I saw some comments about impolite staff; I found the staff extremely pleasant and helpful. The place is well used. It's frayed. I completely enjoyed it and will return as long as it exists - but I guess the developers are coming. I'd give it 5 stars - but it's not a 5 star place. It's a really good place and a great value!
