The most unique thing about this place is that there's no menu. The staff will fix whatever you like which was amazing. The food was wonderful and the lodge was immaculate!"

"Our stay at Elephant Plains Game Lodge was unforgettable. From the warm welcome to the seamless rooming experience, everything was handled with care and professionalism. The highlight of our trip was the remarkable safari adventures (game drives), where we had the chance to see elephants, giraffes, lions, rhinos, leopards, and more up close—a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience. The delicious meals, tailored to accommodate vegetarian preferences, were excellent. The staff also went above and beyond, assisting with retrieving our luggage from Johannesburg and providing thoughtful support with laundry and toiletries. Their hospitality and attention to detail made our stay exceptional. We are truly grateful for this amazing experience and will gladly recommend Elephant Plains to anyone visiting the area. "This was one of the most best travel expeirences i ever had. The Kapama Southern lodge is superb . The staff was amazing. the accommodations were perfect. The food options were plentiful. I recommend this property to everyone, and of of course the safari tours were better than expected with informal guides. "

"Picked imbali as a good place for a short 3 day safari. Food portions were large and of good quality . There are some areas where the wood at the lodge and around the property need some replacement but overall didn’t detract from a lovely setting . Watering hole for elephants is directly opposite the restaurant area so good for breakfast and lunch . Safari drives were good and Jayden did a great job for us . Would have been nice to have a transfer from local airport Skukuza included in the cost of the room. Private hire was around £135 each way."

"The riverfront location was stunning and teeming with wildlife. We saw hippos, elephants, baboons and even lions right in the camp, and every meal was delightful under the shade of the big tree. Our lodging felt palatial, with our own plunge pool, outdoor deck and cabana, unlimited bar fridge, and total privacy. The service was outstanding in every respect, Ron and Louis were our butlers and spoiled us with attention. Nick was our amazing guide, and helped us spot baby lions at a fresh kill, hyenas and all kinds of wildlife and birds, not to mention his great sense of humor and superb sundowner cocktails. The experience was “once in a lifetime” but I can’t wait to return again!"
