Romantic Creekside Cabin w/Hot Tub!

Panther Creek Cabin is a private cabin nestled between the mountain ridges along the Big Reed Island Creek in beautiful southwest Virginia. A great place for romance, reconnecting with loved ones or outdoor adventure, Panther Creek Cabin will make you feel like you have a corner of the world all to yourself! Immerse yourself in a warm, relaxing hot tub or enjoy a crackling fire in the fire pit along the soothing sounds of a flowing creek. Need to get some work done? No problem! Connect to the free Starlink High Speed Internet and find out what the rest of the world is doing. There is a smart TV with local channels and access to your favorite apps like Netflix and Hulu. If you feel like stretching your legs, take a short walk to see a beautiful waterfall called 'Hole in the Wall'. Or for a more challenging stretch, hike up nearby Fall Branch Trail to see the magnificent views of the creek from up high.

Some other things to note about Panther Creek Cabin:

- Stairs to bedroom (loft area) are steep and narrow. Panther Creek Cabin has one queen size bed and is best suited for couples.

- Check-in is at 3 pm, and check-out is at 10 am. Early check-in or late check-out may be available, please ask! However, an unauthorized late checkout may cost your $25 per 30 min tardiness to vacate as it impacts the schedule of our cleaning person. Please be considerate!

- There is no cell service at the cabin. Guests must be able to connect to the internet at the cabin and use wi-fi calling to text and make phone calls.

- Pets are not allowed.

-There is no trash service in this area. We ask that you please place your trash in the outside receptacle and close the lid tightly or you will encounter undesired wildlife!

- A signed rental agreement is required as well as a separate security deposit for this property. Please feel free to ask if you have any questions!

- Fishing is welcome, but Virginia requires a Virginia Freshwater Fishing License. Licenses can be purchased online at the Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources website.

- Our cabin is cleaned and sanitized after every departure. The hot tub filter is cleaned and sanitized after every stay, and replaced regularly. There are rules for enjoying the hot tub that must be adhered to in accordance with the rental agreement that you are required to sign. Read and understand the rules prior to arrival. You acknowledge the rules and cancellation policy when you sign the rental agreement. There will be a charge for unscheduled hot tub drain/refill. A copy of the rental agreement can be provided prior to booking upon request.

- We provide a small amount of free firewood and other items needed to get a fire started in the outdoor fire pit. More wood is available for purchase upon request. Ask host for details.

- PLEASE NOTE for November - March bookings: During these winter months, a four-wheel drive (4WD) or all-wheel drive (AWD) vehicle is recommended in case of implement weather.

Panther Creek Cabin comes equipped with a full kitchen and everything you need to cook indoors or out with the exception of a conventional full size oven.

Panther Creek Cabin is 8 miles from the Allisonia entrance to the New River Trail for hiking, biking, or launching a boat. Parking at and using the boat launch is free. Panther Creek Cabin is also close to Iron Heart Winery. The cabin is also within a short driving distance to many other great places like Floyd, Christiansburg, Radford, Hillsville, Wytheville, Galax, and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Great cabin retreat
The cabin was remote and even better than the pictures! Such a nice cozy place that was perfect for a weekend get away. We had everything we needed and more. It was wonderful to sit on the porch listening to the creek after a nice dip in the hot tub! The mattress was so comfortable which is really rare in a rental property! Would definitely recommend and hope to be able to return again!

Our visit was one to remember! This cozy cabin is what every couple needs. Quit location on a steady rolling stream made for dreams! We sipped wine while soaking and listening to the sounds of nothing around but nature. We will return again to add memories to our story! Everything was just as we expected....

Great cozy cabin to get away from everything. Only satellite TV to get In the way of total disconnect. Hopefully we can get back there soon!! Awesome 28th anniversary weekend!! Owners response time to any questions before and during stay is impeccable. Very informative of local conditions due to 6-11 inches of rain in the area the week of our stay. Can't thank them enough.

20 year anniversary getaway!
Absolutely loved everything about this place! It wasn’t advertised but the house used to be a schoolhouse back in early 1900’s which gave it such an old time feeling. The house had everything you need to be secluded and enjoy the peace and quiet. Beautiful scenery just sitting on the deck. Only disappointment was the waterfall was dried up due to no rain but that is just Mother Nature. Would highly recommend staying here especially if you want to disconnect from the outside work and enjoy quality time with the people you are with!

Absolutely adorable cabin in the middle of nowhere, but just a short 30 minute ride to the town of Floyd (also adorable) w/ great spots to eat & shop. HIGHLY recommend. The hot tub was perfect at night with the outside temps in low 20’s. Bed is super comfortable upstairs & wifi worked like a charm. We maybe saw 2-4 vehicles pass by the entire weekend. We already are from the country & have never had neighbors before in our life, but this place takes it to a whole different level. You feel like you’re in your own world w/ just those who you choose to bring along on the trip! It’s so peaceful & perfect. Thank you to the owners for sharing this cute, off the grid spot with us. We will be back!

Perfect get away for 2!
I booked this as a romantic get away for my husband and I, it was exactly what we were looking for. The cabin had a wonderful rustic aesthetic and is nestled next to a beautiful babbaling creek. We were able to forget the hustle and bustle and enjoy nature (especially from the Hot Tub!). We didn't want to leave.

Heaven by the water
We truly fell in total love with this cute cabin! They have a perfect spot for a little of everything. We enjoyed their hot tub under the clear sky with great views of the stars, took a stroll by the creek and found some cool rocks. We ventured into town to sightsee, (highlyyyy recommend Millers’s Cafe! - They’re closed Sundays and Mondays). There is an easy hike nearby with a waterfall, for hole boards, and a fire pit. We wish we could have stayed longer but look forward to coming back!

Peaceful retreat
Our friends enjoyed their stay in this well furnished cabin adjacent to Big Reed Island Creek. It is clean, comfortable, cozy, perfect for a getaway weekend or longer stay. For us it was exactly what we needed for overflow guests since our cabin is nearby. We would definitely book it again!

Fourth visit to amazing cabin!
This was our 4th relaxing stay at this comfortable lovely cabin by the river. Special thanks to Will for fixing the hot tub so quickly after we called and thanks for all of the information!! Walking on the road by the river to the waterfall was especially nice! And.. thanks to Debbie and Will for mailing back my swimsuit! We love the area and plan to return for a 5th visit!

We rented this property for a week, definitely wish we could have stayed longer! The cabin was so cozy, but light and open at the same time. Of course, the hot tub was our favorite part. Not to mention they have everything you could need already in the cabin when you get there! Definitely will be going back!

Peaceful getaway
This is a great property to hideaway for a few days. It is out there in the country so no cell service for us but we were forewarned in the info and honestly it’s just what we needed to be disconnected a bit! The back deck is so nice for eating while listening to the creek waters flowing by. Everything in the listing just as advertised.
