"Very cute cabin in small town. Really enjoyed the short distance to the james river where we were able to fish and float. Lots of restaurants and stores near by to get extra supplies we needed. "

"Really enjoyed our stay at this clean and well-appointed cabin with fantastic deck views of lake and fully stocked kitchen. Our only suggestion would be to replace the queen bed mattress as it doesn't sleep comfortably. Otherwise, a wonderful time!"

"I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The cabin was so peaceful and perfect that we ended up not even leaving. Just took a couple days to rest/relax/recharge. The absolute perfect way to celebrate our anniversary. We racked our brains trying to think of anything the host could have done differently or better to make things more enjoyable and we couldn’t come up with anything. Just perfect."

"Great old cabin!"

"The cabin was perfect for my husband, our dog and I. It had everything we needed. The area was breathtaking! We couldn't have asked for a better spot. It was quiet and the views were amazing. This was our first time at SML and we are so glad we visited. We hope to be back next year with my husband's kids and their spouses for a family vacation. If you are looking for a quiet getaway with spectacular views of the lake and the mountains, this cabin is perfect!"

"The cabin was perfect. We enjoyed relaxing on the deck overlooking the lake and watching the stars at night. The host was very responsive if we had a question."

"The location was nice, stay was nice. Cabin was clean. We probably needed a bigger place with another bathroom. My husband and I took our adult children and their girlfriend/boyfriend. Feed were a little much, but overall It was a nice, cozy get away on the lake for a few days!"

"Stayed for 4 nights. One of us took the upstairs bedroom & bathroom and the other took the downstairs. Common kitchen & small living room to hang out together. Best surprise was the yard. Beautiful & secluded next to a stream. Very peaceful just 2 turns off the main road. Host was very responsive as well. Would stay here again."

"This place is EVERYTHING. I want to go back. I can’t even describe the beauty and privacy. Enjoy!"

"This is our second visit back to this property. We love it here. The dog has easy access with the small little beach that’s provided. We had good fishing off the dock and plenty of toys and games to play with. We had terrible weather and power outage however we still had, a great time and the property manager reached out to us with updates on restore power as well as other activities in the area to do while we were there. Highly recommend."

"The house was just as described with the deck overlooking a beautiful valley. We enjoyed exploring Peeks of Otter and the area. My girls loved the woods, creek, field and just being outside. Would recommend if you want to get away from it all. Bonnie was very responsive and their grass fed beef was delicious . "
