Fabulous place to stay. We had our 2 and 4 year olds with us and it was great for all of us. Quiet, safe, easy parking, great and accommodating staff. Breakfast looked amazing but we had to leave too early to sit down and couldn't take it with us so no problem; just our day had an early appointment. The fiskehaus was amazing for local seafood.

Conference-style hotel on w edge of town but a great location for a stopover before/after the ferry to Norway. Spacious Business room with good seating, comfy beds, nice bathroom. Buffet breakfast was outstanding in choice and quality, although a second coffee machine would have reduced wait times. Highly recommended

the rooms are outdated. It was very warm due to the nice weather. Fortunately, there was a small fan, but this was insufficient. The swimming pool water was ice cold, too cold for children. The breakfast was very tasty and the staff very friendly.

We stayed at this hotel as it has more parking available. We were travelling on the ferry to Kristinsand. The room was larger than expected and comfortable. There were no shampoo sachets only body wash in the shower. Breakfast was ok and parking was no problem as there is a large area at the back of the hotel. The town of Kristinsand was not anything special. It is only a place to stay before the ferry trip. Make sure you book your ticket for the fast ferry.

Come with low expectations
A very simple hotel that I thought would be fine for a 1 night stay but the room was a sauna with no aircon and trucks constantly heading to and from the port made opening the window of no use to sleeping. A nice breakfast would have helped the lack of sleep but it was miserably poor with devastatingly bad coffee. Recommend looking elsewhere.

Mediocre at best
We booked this hotel to break up our journey before taking a ferry the morning after checking in. The check-in and breakfast was generally satisfactory. The work-out facilities are below par and the swimming pool was exceedingly cold. The room was below average, with uncomfortable pillows and very few amenities in room/ bathroom. When asking for late checkout (1/2 hour extension) we were told that this was impossible due to a full hotel. Fair enough, but this shows rigidity instead of the pragmatism one would expect from a service-oriented hotel staff. Find another hotel if you are staying in Hirtshals.
