"We were the only guests at the chateau. The property is beautiful and the owner very hospitable and welcoming. There are 4 peacocks that roam the chateau grounds which are beautiful. In the morning the owner presented us with a gorgeous breakfast in his chateau dining room which was very elegant. All considered, we would love to stay at Chateau de Chantore again. 5 stars."

Phillippe was a superb host and made us feel very welcome and provided excellent local recommendations. "What a lovely little property - it had all we needed for our stay in St Malo. Ideally situated for 20 minute walk to the old town, the kitchen was very well equipped, the sofa bed was comfortable to sit on downstairs. The bedroom and bathroom upstairs were perfectly adequate and the bed was comfortable. It was a nice surprise to be provided with bedding, towels and soap. The only downside for us - as we are both over 60 was the steep staircase (which was clearly pictured) - but we did get used...
