"When we arrived at the Griffin, to our surprise, our reservation was canceled. Apparently, the Griffin had a water leak and were in the process of repairing the damage. They said that an email was sent to us canceling our reservations 2 days prior. We were on a cruise at the time and did not get this email because we had no service while on the cruise. It was a very unfortunate situation. We are from the USA and found out upon arrival in England that our cell phones were not working properly so...

"The hotel looked lovely but unfortunately we didn't get to stay. Turned up to find hotels.com had not passed out booking into hotel so left with nowhere to stay in remote countryside. I'd recommend the eco lodge - staff were lovely but not hotels.com -it took almost a month to get a refund only by going via my bank's anti fraud process."

"Spent the night here with my partner it was amazing. Nigel and Robina the owners were very friendly and welcoming they took an imterest in us as their guests. They showed us to our room and were always around. Breakfast was a full english and was 10/10. The room was cute spacious with a lovely bathroom. The estate itself is large but is in good condition. I would return"
