This is exactly what we were looking for. Hammocks under palm trees on a sandy beach with water, mountain and island views. The intimate park like setting was perfect for hanging out outside. We paid the moderate corkage fee and did a lot of our own cooking outside. We also enjoyed the included breakfast that was served each morning. We loved being away from the crowded towns of Sipalay and Hinoba An, but close enough to visit with a short drive when we wanted to. It was a short drive from the resort to grab a boat and crew for a snorkel sail at Campomanes Bay, and to explore Obong Cave. Seeing clown fish in anemones at Campomanes ala "Finding Nemo" was a major highlight for me. While the resort beach is too shallow for swimming, we enjoyed the pool and its garden setting. The authenticity of this place is amazing. Way more locals than tourists around, and it's cool to observe them fishing from small boats and gathering shellfish at low tide. Fresh coconuts onsite were a big plus! It was nice to stay at a place where the owner and staff are so attentive and friendly. I'll tell all my friends that this is what Hawaii ought to be in our imaginations but isn't (maybe it once was?). So, skip Hawaii and come here!
