Our stay was very relaxing. The drive to the house from Hilo town is about 15-20 minutes. Its pretty high up the hillside. The air is crips and very cool. The house was clean and beautiful, equipped with everything we needed.
Beds were comfortable. We had great sleeps for the 2 nights we were there.
We picked fresh limes from the yard to squeeze onto our papaya we picked up from the Hilo open market.
A real plus was being able to interact with the animals. My 7 year old granddaughter had a great time feeding the Parrot, the cows, chickens, and petting the friendly dogs.
Steve and Debbie were very kind and hospitable, we shared stories, they share fresh eggs with us for our breakfast, oranges from the trees on the property, and were so kind to our granddaughter.
I enjoyed sitting in the front of the rental bird watching. Saw several different types of birds, but was mesmerized watching the 'Io (Hawaiian Hawk) glide and hover over the neighbors property.
I highly recommend staying here, and have already put in our request to stay next year.
