"The cottage is beautiful, immaculately clean, very comfortable, well equipped, and spacious with 3 bedrooms snd two bathrooms. I would describe it as a little gem with oodles of character. Eileen and Richard are wonderful hosts. Such lovely people and gave great tips about where to go and where best to park. Got to mention Humphrey, Maple and Syrup - the adorable ducks! The cottage is in a great location to see Cumbria, the Lake District, Northumberland, and Dumfries & Galloway. Absolutely...

"Lovely owners welcomed us to the cottage which is bigger than it looks in the pictures. We visited the castles, drove the 50 minutes to Rochford beach a few times, swam in one of the Lochs, had lovely food in the cafe in town (20 minutes away) and good beer in the posh hotel. "

"So lovely, really homely. All the essentials plus bits like sandwich boxes and a slow cooker in the kitchen. Tourist leaflets and info pack could do with udating. Would be helpful to have supermarket/ local market/pharmacy details. Limited rainy day things to do in the flat. No books, family games etc. However, Carlisle nearby. Loads of hidden tea rooms and cafes in the surrounding villages. Maryport is gorgeous."

"The bedrooms were a generous size. With a large sitting room, spacious kitchen/diner, a separate dining room, and a second smaller sitting room with piano, there are plenty of options for getting together with your house guests. We were lucky with the weather, and ate breakfast on the patio and a barbecue in the garden. A memorable stay."

"The apartment was ok with really good views, however it does state that there is a washer in the property but that is not true. Also whilst the apartment has a full bathroom, the shower had little to no pressure whilst we were staying. Finally, there were some minor maintenance issues like the bathroom door was very stiff to open, these could be resolved very easily."
