"The Wheel house is the largest of 3 properties at this location. It’s stunning and Judith, the host, is very helpful. The property is one of the best equipped self catering properties we’ve stayed in. Included was: tea/coffee/sugar, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, washing machine tablets, cloths, tea towels, bedding, towels, logs for the burner and a really well equipped kitchen. Beds were so comfy. The setting is stunning and we were even lucky enough to wake to a new calf in the field...

"A lovely cosy property in a great location. A nice walk along the river Sid brings you out on the coast in Sidmouth. 2 minutes walk to a great chip shop and five mins walk to to two great pubs. Really enjoyed the stay and our hosts were lovely and helpful."

The drive down the 1 mile track to the property was a bit daunting at first as I don't like heights. Beware the potholes. Both coast and countryside in the local area is stunning. Pete and Bev are superb hosts, and were happy to offer whatever we might need, while not being at all intrusive. "Purcombe Farmhouse is a gem. It provides comfortable and very well equipped accommodation, suitable for all ages - our family group were aged 66 down to 1yr and we all had a wonderful week there. Lovely gardens to explore and the hot tub was a definite plus later at night! This property is so peaceful and with stunning views, yet only a 10 minute drive from Bridport"

"Had 3 lovely days at Brooksyde. A very comfortable house, a home form home seaside retreat. A great base to visit Lyme Regis, Sidmouth etc. Beer is a really lovely little village with a few independent shops and restaurants. The voucher for the next door shop was a nice surprise. Would highly recommend "
