"We arrived in Appledore and found the most enchanting place to stay, right on the quay side. Everyone in Appledore was friendly and just behind our property there was a fish and chip shop opposite a pub, and we were aloud to eat our dinner in the pub. Back at the property, 2 great sized bedrooms, a good sized bathroom and downstairs ample room for us to either sit with a meal and watch the passing holiday makers or sit and read a book or watch a film in the other room, well equipped kitchen....

"Such a lovely cottage it was very cosy and the perfect location where we were able to visit family, and take our four legged family with us. It had all the comforts of home, and we can't wait to return in the near future ."

"A lovely location with full use of the grounds which we greatly enjoyed, strolling with our dog around the pond and the meadow and sitting out in the secluded garden when the weather permitted. The house was comfortable and well equipped, and best of all, peaceful. The house is well located for visiting the countryside and north coast of Devon. A slight quibble, in that, on a cold wet first day, the house was not warm enough, but that was quickly remedied with the owners, who were very helpful...

"Pretty little cottage located 5 mins walk from the Main Street. It was so quiet and peaceful considering how close it was to the main road and shops. We loved having the garden with the dog and it was lovely that the dog was made to feel welcome with his own bedding, towels and bowls. Cottage was comfortable and had everything we needed."

"We stayed from 25th Aug-1st Sept. The property totally exceeded our expectations which were extremely high. The facilities are second to none, it felt like a home from home but in much more beautiful surroundings. Orchard House is very close to all amenities but secluded for peace and tranquility. There was a lovely offering on arrival in the form of a welcome pack, totally unexpected and a treat. The owners were friendly and chatted to members of my family. I cannot recommend this property...

"The Linhay was a great choice for us as we attended a wedding at nearby Tregulland. The countryside is very quiet around the accommodation—a car is absolutely required. It's just 10 minutes drive to Launceston for all amenities, a half hour drive to the sea, and a few miles drive to an excellent pub, The Rising Sun. Loved the wood burning fireplace and the host's homemade scones. Our hosts were on-site and very pleasant to deal with. We find Home Away a somewhat slower process than...

"Plenty of space for 4 adults. The outside verandah was well used as it was so peaceful and quiet to sit out on. Three toilets to the property was a great advantage. The property is not overlooked. The journey to the property is along narrow lanes but with plenty of routes to choose from."

"We had a small misunderstanding about the composition of our group meaning we didn't have the right combination of beds made up - but the owners responded quickly and helpfully, as they did to all questions. The large kitchen dining area was a fabulous feature, so was the lounge. The garden was also fabulous although the weather wasn't kind to us so we couldn't use it as much as we hoped. Also, be aware the garden isn't really dog-proof since the front gate is just a standard 5-bar wooden gate...

"Great accommodation, the pool and games room were perfect for our young teens. Lovely local area, the chip shop was the best fish and chips we’ve had in a long time. We visited Clovelly and the near by waterpark, both were well worth the visit. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful. Looking forward to visiting again"
