"The Takeo Onsen Kyotoya is a traditional Japanese hotel. I wanted the tatami mat and futon experience and this property exceeded my expectations. I enjoy the older style of hotel as the nostalgia of the experience is valuable to me. The room and bath were well appointed and very comfortable. "Although this hotel is an older traditional Japanese style, staff are super friendly and helpful for foreigners. They set up the bed for you everyday and excellent hospitality. Fantastic view overlooking the whole Nagasaki city. Highly recommend! "

Do note that this ryokan does not offer dining options hence you may want to consider other options if you are looking for a full onsen ryokan experience. But firstly, the location of Ryokan belongs to the outskirts of Ureshino hot spring village. So there is no place to walk around. Second, overall cleanliness is not good. Third, the restaurant in the ryokan is very noisy on the day when there are group guests. "
