"Great communication by hosts, check in and out was a breeze. In a great central location between Indian River, Petoskey/Harbor Springs, and Mackinaw City. Arrived to a clean, well stocked home. In the kitchen, lots of pans and plates. Seasoning cabinet well stocked, with some coffee and kuerig pods. Lots of mugs including an ugly one with a block M on it. Bathroom was clean, shower with good water pressure. Only used the master bedroom, but the bed was comfortable and there was plenty of extra bedding for the cooler nights. Outside, the deck was a nice place to enjoy your coffee and read. We used the two kayaks and had a nice cruise. (Water is low so getting in and out was a challenge with the ladder) Check out: some VRBO rentals have pretty extensive lists for checking out. Requirements here were better than average(plates in dishwasher, beddingat the end of the bed, take garbage out). Will say, many of the plates and cups are plastic which makes it challenging to load them all top shelf only. Food in the area: Bob's was decent for lunch. Northwoods surprised us pleasantly with good portions and great food. Vernales, though expensive, is always good for the last night steak and cocktail. "

"We both work jobs that are fairly stressful, so whenever we can get away we prefer a space that lets us focus on our time together. We like to sample local culture, but the main event is always time together to be comfy and to enjoy each other. This cabin checks a lot of boxes...it's spotlessly clean, roomy, and easy to enjoy. High-quality materials and finishes, as well as comfy touches, are apparent throughout...every room and every fixture are well-detailed. Kitchen is fantastic, and the big table is a centerpiece for dining, quiet conversation, post-shopping sorting and enjoyment; and when duty calls, it's a great place to set up a quick mobile office. Of the two available bedrooms, we chose the larger one; mattress is firm and VERY comfortable. Harbor Springs and Petoskey were minutes away, and we enjoyed them both. We'll be back!"

"Myself, my parents, and my grandparents have all been coming to Burt/Mullet for decades and decided to bring my daughter up for her first trip this year for a family vacation to this wonderful little cottage on Crooked River. We found everything to be the perfect size for the seven of us and enjoyed the proximity to Mackinaw City, Petoskey and the wineries around the area. Our host was gracious and helpful and we experienced no issues. It was a genuinely awesome tome for our first family vacation with our newest member. "

"This beauty is still a treasure 2 years after our last stay. Kathy is attentive and responds quickly. The cabin is well maintained, full of high quality features and accessories and is a most delightful place! We really enjoyed the comfy beds & furniture, morning coffee on the porch, the fire pit, and the convenient parking. Having a fullsize fridge and stocked kitchen came in handy too. Don't miss the Douglas Lake Bar (more restaurant than bar) or Legs Inn- both have great food and staff!! We also enjoyed cocktails & appetizers at the Pellston airport bar while watching the planes take off. This Douglas Lake location is near so many places…and the cabin is great for just sitting peacefully near the lake. "

"We loved our stay. There are 2 maintenance issues that did not detract from our enjoyment but the owner should know about. The tv in the upstairs bedroom at the back does nor work. The microwave needs to be replaced. Most of the buttons do not function. We were able to turn it on and manually turn it off after a minute but you cant't use any other button"
