Hiawassee is a beautiful town and the lake is gorgeous.
If you're spending some time in Cedar Cliff, Chatuge Lake and Hiwassee River are top sights worth seeing.
Nantahala Bay might not have many top sights, but Boundary Waters Marina and Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds are two attractions nearby that you can check out.

I've visited Hiawassee on numerous occasions. I have family there. Its a beautiful area!
Beautiful area with mountains and Lake Chatuge. Don’t miss Brasstown Valley Resort restaurant. Nice hiking trails in the area. Quaint Helen is only about 30 min away. We love this area with the small town feel.
I go to church in Hiawassee. Grace Worship Centre. Had friends in for the weekend and the Holiday in is right up the road from our church. It was a great weekend!!!

I was raised in Hayesville Nc and would travel to Hiawassee quite often. Area has grown since my childhood. Just love the lake. Was raised in Elf community. Spent a lot of time on lake fishing.
