Great centralized location. 10 mins from everything. Host was fantastic. Yea it’s on a highway but noise is really not a big deal at least for us. Will be back in the spring.

The property is a duplex right on the highway so it’s pretty noisy. The place is very dark to me. Doesn’t have the windows and indoor lighting for it to be nice. Had an older musty smell and shower head was pretty crusty. The stairs to the creek are very dangerous and in need of a stable railing not the rope they have. If you have any physical disabilities it would not be a safe place. The owner was super nice and friendly. All in all, I wouldn’t recommend this place for the reasons I listed. I give it a 2 1/2 stars

Exactly what we wanted!
The property was exactly what we were looking for. The host was very sweet and welcoming. The river running behind the property was perfect for relaxing and cooling off from the heat. Its 15 minutes from Helen and well located. We cant wait to come back again next year!

Perfect Weekend Getaway
My husband and I came for an early anniversary trip. The cabin was perfect for a couple. The creek behind the cabin was the main reason we chose the cabin and it did not disappoint. The location was extremely convenient to Helen, GA. The owner was very helpful with suggestions of places to go sightseeing. Definitely a place we'd love to stay again.

What a beautiful slice of paradise!
My husband and I go somewhere every year for our anniversary and we wanted something a little different this year. I found this property and we decided to give it a try. We are so glad that we did! We loved the cabin/house and adored the creek! We had coffee there every morning and thoroughly enjoyed having a fire in the fire pit. The sound of the water was so relaxing and peaceful! The surrounding area was absolutely beautiful! Willene was so sweet and helpful with her suggestions for things to do in the area and she definitely thought of everything in the cabin! The bed was soooo comfortable, the water pressure in the shower was fantastic, the kitchen was equipped with about everything, there was loads of firewood for the fire pit - it was all just awesome! We will be returning here again and can't wait for our next visit! We were seriously sad when it was time to go. Counting the days until we can return! Thank you for the perfect short anniversary getaway!

This property was close to Helen, Brasstown Bald, Bell Mountain, and just nature. I would recommend staying here to anyone you will not be disappointed.

Lovely Stay
My Husband and I love this place, Mrs. Willene was wonderful and even waited up for us to get there as we were arriving later than expected. Its less than a quarter mile from the Deer Lodge which is our favorite restaurant. The cabin is on the river just as pictured and provides everything you need to enjoy the view and scenery. They provide a grill, firepit, tables and even firewood for the pit. We had a peaceful relaxing stay, and it was just what we needed. thank you for everything and i can't wait to visit again.

Mountain cabin get away
We had a wonderful time. Owner was there to meet us and give us a tour of the property and information along with directions to the local sites. Husband was a little disappointed when he found out he couldn’t fish in the creek, but we found other things to do. Bed was very comfortable and they had recliners in the living room which were comfortable but difficult to close to get up. There was only small TV 20-21”would have been nice if it was a little bigger. I would absolutely recommend this cabin to friends and family. It was just what we needed.

The cabin was in a perfect location. To travel to Helen, NC, see the natural sites such as waterfalls and Indian mounds were all easy and quick from the clean and lovely location. The property was extremely lovely with a backyard mountain stream, bq grill, tables,chairs and fire pit. I hope to return to Hiawassee again and will 100% rebook here.

3 Day Stay in a Cabin on a river near Hiawassee
The Host/Property Manager was very pleasant and informative about things to see & do in the area. The Cabin was nice and as described right on the river with an area on the bank to enjoy it all. Overall, taking into account the $85 @ night, it was a fairly good deal. The furnishings are somewhat dated, we were not overly impressed with the cleanliness of the kitchen area, and it was a bit difficult resting overnight with the OTR Tractor Trailers barreling down the highway like 20 yards from the cabin. We will definitely consider a little better our cabin location in the future. Plenty to see and do in the surrounding area and many a good place to eat but not much opened for travelers on MONDAYS in Hiawassee.

Place wasn't the greatest but the value (how much we paid for what was provided) was excellent. Restaurants in area were wonderful. Owner was extremely friendly, responsive and helpful. Furniture was old but functional, did not expect much better for what we paid. We really enjoyed the nearby stream and hiking. We definitely have it on our list for a return visit.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay, spent lots of time at the creek, and its proximity to Hiawassee is great. Property owners are wonderful. Comfortable cabin with all one would need even washer and dryer! We'll go back for sure
