Shepherds Retreat, situated on the foundations of Hadrian's Wall and set in wonderful open countryside provides a welcoming, warm and friendly place to stay. The traditional stone built property is attached to the 18th Century Farmhouse and was originally an outbuilding. We renovated the building in 2007 and transformed it into the contemporary property you see today, retaining a lot of the original features.
Set in the heart of Hadrian's Wall Country and Northumberland National Park – home to England's cleanest rivers, clearest air and darkest skies, the property has everything you need for a perfect break.
There are two well sized double bedded bedrooms, which incorporate some of the original features, such as roof beams and stone walls. Each bedroom has ensuite shower facilities.
The lounge is light and airy. The kitchen is fully equipped with an upright fridge / freezer, electric double oven, washing machine, dishwasher and a microwave.
If you are looking for a relaxing or active break at any time of the year in England's Border Country, Shepherds Retreat is ideally situated to meet your needs. We will make you very welcome and ensure your stay is memorable.
