The Space:
Maggie’s has a bright open plan living, kitchen and dining area. With a sandstone inglenook fireplace with wood burning stove, it’s the perfect spot to cosy up and unwind. Relax on the blue velvet sofa and turn on the flat screen TV to enjoy a quiet evening in. Shaker in style, the light grey kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could need to prepare meals easily. The dining area features a rustic style round dining table and two matching chairs.
Head to the bedroom and you’ll find a comfortable king size bed with premium bed linens. Pops of colour are added with the soft furnishings and there is a spacious en suite shower room with a large walk in shower, WC and basin.
There is a lush green garden with outdoor furniture where you can enjoy al fresco dining and morning coffees. There is also a lockable outhouse which has space for bike storage, walking boots etc.

Guests have access to the full property. The keys to the property are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.
There is free on site parking for one vehicle.
The Neighborhood:
Maggie’s is located in the village of Wall in the high uplands of Northumberland. If you’re looking for a relaxing retreat in the countryside, this is the ideal place. Steeped in history, the village takes its name from the nearby Hadrian’s Wall which runs close to the Northumberland National Park.
Wall is also close to the charming town of Hexham which was voted England’s favourite market town by Country Life magazine. With great shopping facilities, local inns, restaurants and a buzzing arts scene, there will be plenty for you to discover. If you’re interested in history, head to Hexham Abbey which dates back to 674. For those who want a fun day out, Hexham has its own racecourse where you can enjoy the races and incredible views of the rolling countryside too.
Getting Around:
The nearby town of Hexham is roughly a 10 minute drive from the cottage. Hexham has plenty of bus routes including trips to Newcastle and the Metro Centre. There is a bus stop in Wall which travels through to Hexham so you can get there easily.
The nearest train station is Hexham which has routes from Newcastle, Carlisle and Sunderland.
