We loved staying at the Gold Creek Bunk House. It had plenty of space for 3 adults and two small children. The location as excellent to explore the Black Hills but plenty far away to feel secluded. We will definitely visit again!

What a great place to stay, close to Hot Springs, Custer State Park, and Rapid City! We really appreciated the clean and beautiful environment. We would definitely stay here again. It was really nice to have the outdoor chairs, Grill, fire pit, and picnic table as options. We definitely also appreciated the note for directions and where everything Is in the cabin. When I had a question, the host got back to me right away. A very cute place!

Fantastic!
I don’t know where to start! First, Matt has been great through the whole process from booking through all communications during our stay as well! Next, the cabin/bunkhouse was perfect for our family (3 middle age kiddos, 2 adults and 2 tiny dogs). It was the perfect blend of all the modern amenities that one would need, but with a very subtle blend of “camping” in terms of no stove (but there was a gas grill, microwave and electric skillet that got us by perfectly fine). As far as location goes, it was great! This was our first trip to South Dakota, so I felt we were pretty well situated in terms of anything needed (we made a few runs to Rapid City, otherwise we stayed pretty much in Custer State Park and all that surrounds that area)! Needless to say, I would definitely book this spot again in a heartbeat. Oh, you do have a sister cabin a few steps away, but it still felt private/secluded enough! We got along great with our neighbors who were there. Wonderful trip for our family! Thank you so much!

Everything was great ... except we checked out a day early as the listing stated Internet which was a deal breaker for my family as we were unable to get Internet during our stay.. unfortunately our host (matt) contacted there provider but was unable to fix the problem until the day of our check out so we found a place close by and finished our vacation at another place

Beautiful Badlands Bunkhouse!
We had an amazing stay in The Badlands! The cabin is charming, and in a good location between the badlands, mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse! You do share the property with other cabins, and we were fortunate to have a great neighbors. I loved the spiritual walk to the swing.

Family vacation (5 Adults)
Our family of 5 stayed in this cabin for 7 days, and had plenty of room. The location is great being only minites away from Iron Mountain road, and the Wildlife loop in custer state park. The only improvement i would recommend would be to add the fixturing for the shower head so it can fixed rather than hand held. I would definitely stay here again.

Matt was easy to work with on the whole booking and stay process. Highly recommend this rental! Beds felt like home. Would absolutely stay here again! The electric skillet was a nice feature that wasn't on the listing and we used it a few times during our stay. 5 Stars!

Cute, modern cabin. Spacious with comfy beds. Great location as it’s off the beaten path yet fairly close to several tourist things in the Black Hills. Loved that our small dogs could stay as well. Owner was easy to get ahold of with questions. Would definitely stay here again.

Awesome hiking and proximity to park
Loved the proximity to the park and the deer that visited us nightly. The beds were comfortable. There is another rental unit right next to the property and thankfully we liked our neighbor. The AC is only one in the main room and we had to sleep with bedroom door open. We bought a box fan and left it there. We laundered any essentials the sink and hung them on the porch to dry. We loved cooking on the outside grill. Hopefully the leaking shower gets fixed, as the water sprayed on the bathroom floor. Otherwise we loved it!

The Bunk House was the perfect home base for all our adventures in beautiful South Dakota. It was so nice to come back the house and have a quiet relaxing evening after our long busy days.
