"A great house for us, 3 adults & 111 year old. Convenient for showing family the beaches & getting on a Cape Reinga trip! Shops & restaurants within 2 km. Just beautiful looking out the ranch sliders & kitchen window.Only downers were no curtain on a small highup window in double room - we covered it cos we didnt want to wake up with the sun : ). Also would have appreciated a hose connection for washing sandy swimwear outside & a connection inside to use the washing machine. Wouldve contacted...

"Really enjoyed the water view and being able to roll up the windows in the main lounge. Hihi Beach was a little messy for swimming, but Coopers Beach and Taupo Bay were gorgeous."

Immaculately clean and fresh, such comfortable and inspiring decor (including from local artists!), comfortable beds, pillows and linens, exceptionally well-appointed kitchen...the stunning views from every window, the exhilarating outdoor "rain" shower and falling asleep looking out at the star filled sky...our family didn't want to leave! "This listing is more then just a tad misleading... It says pet friendly, but no secure area for the dogs or any shelter. Leaving about 1sqm for the pets inside when it rains. The use of space in a tiny home is probably the worst ive seen. A big bed with ZERO use of wall space for storage. No toilet scrubber for the toilet is one of the finer details they are missing here. They said there was a BBQ and fire available, neither of these were true. We asked for firewood as they said to...

"Perfect place for a family holiday. Location was perfect with beaches 1 minute down the road. Access to shops & food places was easy and close. The house was amazing & worth every dollar. The pool was perfect & clean, Kids enjoyed it! House was very clean when we checked in. David was easy to talk with & answered all our questions. Very helpful good guy and he was there on check in & gave a quick run down on the house which was helpful. Definitely be staying here again in 2025 hopefully! Thanks...

"Lovely welcoming hosts, Lise was prompt and attentive. We just stayed the one night but it was a very restful and relaxing stay, very private and serene garden areas to enjoy, and all just a short walk to the Kohukohu CBD : ) Very handy to the pub and shop and just across the street from the bowls club where the locals will happily welcome you for a sneaky beverage, there’s some folks there enjoying a bowl and a beer most nights during the summer nights."

"Beautiful home with quirky decor. Space for everyone to have their own space in the house. Super close to the beaches. The house had everything we needed. We played the games provided at after dinner drinks. Driveway was very steep and there was no where to park our boat, so we had to leave it on the road. Overall we were very happy and we had fun. Would definitely revisit this gorgeous home."
