JUST BRING YOUR TOOTHBRUSH AND A CHANGE OF CLOTHES AND YOU ARE ALL SET. FORGOT SHAMPOO? IT'S THERE. FORGOT YOUR RAZOR? IT'S THERE. FORGOT YOUR GOLF CLUBS? CAN'T HELP YOU, SORRY (someone stole mine)!

Great spot!
Our kids loved paddling on the kayaks and we loved hanging out on the dock and deck. Close to lots of great trails and a peaceful, beautiful location. Fantastic all around.

Truly tranquil
Pictures do not do this property justice...lovely furnishings and tasteful decor. Well supplied. You can literally just bring your toothbrush and change of clothes! Very comfortable beds and bedding. Peaceful setting. Enjoyed sitting on deck as well as the dock. Host was very pleasant and responsive. We will be back!

Great spot!
We loved the location! It rained a lot of the time we were in town and this property gave us a beautiful vantage point to slow down and enjoy the rainforest we were in. Would definitely stay here again! The lake was great, lovely patios, and very comfortable beds!

Wonderful getaway!
This is the cutest little cottage and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very close to Hendersonville and lots of hiking/outdoor options. The kayaks, fire pit, and porch were lovely amenities. The cottage is well appointed and decorated beautifully! Thank you for a fabulous stay!

Tranquil Comfort
Karen is SUPER responsive and kind! The house is spacious with three full beds and three baths, but it could sleep another three on comfy sofas if needed. The kitchen and baths had all one could want, and the view of the lake is magnificent. Because the property is a private lakefront, daily walks were lovely. Convenient to Asheville and Sierra Nevada.

Relaxing Getaway!
This was one of our favorites! We were looking for a nice relaxing week! With three boys this was perfect! They kayaked, swam, and fished the whole week. Karen was great to work with! Loved it!

So much fun!
We had so much fun staying here! The house was clean and comfortable, but the outside is where we spent most of our time. The kids had so much fun swimming, fishing and kayaking that they didn't want to leave the house all weekend. The deck has a great view and it was a very quiet and peaceful. We can't wait to go back.

Long weekend getaway
We were very happy with this listing - the floor plan, location, amenities, and correspondence with owner. We took our grandchildren on a long weekend to visit Mt Pisgah and the surrounding area. They enjoyed kayaking and swimming in the lake and using the tennis courts. Will be first on our list if we head back to that area.

Very relaxing stay
House was stocked very well, comfortable beds, and beautiful location. Very nice lake house. I really appreciated all the little games throughout the home that entertained my 6 year old. The porch was amazing although we didn’t get to enjoy due to the rainy weather, that was a bummer, but would recommend this location if traveling to Hendersonville! Karen was responsive and kind.

Quiet and peaceful
My family and I enjoyed our stay greatly! Everything thing was great clean and comfy beds and about a 20-30 minute drive to the surrounding towns. We did some fishing and kayaking around the pond and had some down time at the house. Great communication. Had pretty much all necessities there already. Highly recommend this place.

Beautiful quiet vacation property
spacious home, well equipped for a larger group, we had 6 in our group. The private lake was clean and the kids loved swimming off the private dock. Older home with some cute upgrades. View from the very large deck were amazing. Gas grill and fire pit, this location has it all. Looking forward to coming again. Thanks!

Mountain Retreat
My wife and I were looking for peace and quiet in the mountains and this is exactly what we found. house was about 20 minutes from downtown Hendersonville. Hour drive to Chimney Rock. Lake was very peaceful, I enjoyed fishing every morning and evening. we are looking forward to our next trip back and will definitely stay here.

Fabulous Stay!
This place is much improved over the photos shown! There were 4 of us and there was plenty of room for more. Everything we needed was available and the location was perfect for what we wanted to do. Near to little day trips and very comfortable for staying put. Would've loved it if the fireplace was working when we arrived as it was quite chilly the first night but that was a minor blip. We would stay there again for sure! Communication with the owner was spot-on.

Thanksgiving Visit
Husband and I and 20yo son stayed over Thanksgiving weekend to visit my parents in Cummings Cove. Super convenient. Nice to have 3B/3B. Overall loved it. Listing says hot tub, but there wasn’t one. The 3 bedrooms are each on different levels. No issue for us, but worth noting for families w younger kids. We will say here again though. Had a great experience! Definitely recommend.

Great property lots of room
We enjoyed our stay at Karen’s rental. More room than I excepted, 3 couples would be totally comfortable in the 3 bedrooms and 3 baths here. Loved walking down to the dock and enjoying the nice pond and serene surroundings. Great communication! Highly recommend this VRBO. Thanks for a great time. P S — golfers Cummings Cove Golf Course is only 3 minutes away and it’s a great course.

Lovely house and property
Nice house, quite clean, very comfortable. The grill and washer and dryer are convenient. The kids love swimming in the lake and we love that there are kayaks, floaters, and life vests to borrow. Not far from a grocery store, Hendersonville is close and about 35 mins to downtown Asheville. Also 20 mins from waterfalls! We love it and will be back next summer.

We stayed for a week and loved everything. The kitchen was stocked with staples/tools. The host was extremely good at communicating with us throughout our stay. The house is very well kept and if it were warmer we would have loved to kayak around the lake. Next time! We will definitely recommend to family and hopefully come again! Thanks Karen.

Everything we hoped for and more
My two adult daughters and I needed a place to relax, recharge, and reconnect in a beautiful setting. In addition, we were celebrating my oldest daughter’s 40th birthday. “Tranquility on Willow Lake” gave us just what we needed. Having our own bedroom space on 3 different levels gave us each our own space when we needed our own quiet space, but most of the time was spent playing Scrabble by the fireplace, having coffee on the porch, overlooking the peaceful water, jogging/ walking around the lake, and having meaningful conversation around the fire pit. It is conveniently located near downtown Hendersonville and Asheville, so we had a hiking trip and a dining experience, but couldn’t wait to get back to the house. The owner was outstanding! She quickly replied to any question I had and her house was clean, cozy and well equipped. We will definitely go back.

Mountain getaway
Pros: This property was exactly what we were looking for with a few MAJOR exceptions. Overall the property had everything we needed for a nice family getaway. All the bedroom sizes were good and some of the bathrooms were updated very nicely. The living space was large enough for our group to relax comfortably. The deck had a wonderful view, and the swing chair was a hit and loved by all that sat in it (my parents are looking for one of these for their house!). My daughter enjoyed the lake and kayak that was included. We all enjoyed making s’mores in the fire pit. Cons: The cleanliness of the property was lacking. I wiped down the place myself and the wipes were quite dirty. There was dirt on the floors/ carpet and the upstairs bathroom had a Band-Aid stuck on the rug. On our first night, we learned that the microwave did not work while prepping dinner. We reached out to Karen but was unable to get this fixed during our stay. We were told the microwave was ordered and was to arrive during our stay, but this did not happen. The coffee maker did not consistently make coffee. It would stop half way and would not drain. It did not help that the cord to the coffee maker would not stay plugged in the outlet. Our major frustration was the bug infestation in the upper stairs bedroom, bathroom, and closet. There were small beetles crawling all over the floors, walls, and bed. We woke several times with these beetles on us during our first night. The next morning, I reached out to Karen and was told that an exterminator would be coming out, but was later informed that this would not occur until after our stay was completed. Due to the bug infestation, we were out a bedroom and bathroom for our stay. She also informed us that she would reach out to the cleaning lady. We did not hear from them either. We found from trial and error that many of the electrical outlets didn’t work. More than one person found their phone not charging. FYI: stairs are narrow and steep and may be difficult for people with limited mobility so keep that in mind. The walk down to the lake is also steep.
