Everywhere you go, the fjord, Haderslev dam, forests and beaches are close by, making active recreation possible. A few kilometers from Haderlev's city center is Dyrehaven, a park with lots of forest, meadows and lawns and an incredibly rich animal life. Or you can take a boat trip on Haderslev Fjord and experience a unique, fascinating interplay of water and land, fauna and flora on the 12 km long narrow baying fjord. Exciting events are offered by the larger towns of Kolding and Haderslev. In Kolding you will find among others Minibyen, Koldinghus, the Trapholt Museum, the Geographical Garden and a large adventure pool. Also experience the unique ambience of Haderslev. The historic town center with its relaxing green areas offers you the cozy townscape so typical of Denmark. Among the many attractions and sights you should not miss a visit to Legoland and Givskud Zoo. The surrounding area also offers many opportunities for golfing and fishing in one of the many put & take lakes.
