"Great Inn, brilliant food and great rooms. William was an excellent host and nothing was too much trouble. An isolated location, but all the better for that. Cannot recommend this establishment enough. Brilliant garden and outside facilities for the better Scottish weather."

"A decent hotel for a one night stay, clean and comfortable. Room was average sized but did find the bathroom extremely tiny! Breakfast was excellent and was also offered to be served in your room, which was a great way for having a sneaky lie in! "

"The Stables Cottage includes a foyer, eat-in kitchen, sitting room, and bathroom with tub and shower downstairs. The two bedrooms were upstairs plus a bathroom with shower only. We loved every minute. The kitchen had an apartment size/dorm-size refrigerator, double oven with 4-burner stove top, small sink with spigot and dish-drying rack, dishwasher, and washing machine. "Lovely spacious well-heated house in beautiful countryside. We had a week of snowy weather which was heavenly. Edward, the owner was extremely helpful. He towed out some cars which got stuck in the car park by the house, provided lots of logs, replaced the washing machine which had problems and was generally a great help. This is a house for people who like old books and furnishings...don't go there if you want modern posh."
