"The price was the best in the city, but this is no hotel as you can find somewhere else. Check-in and check-out was ok. There is no private shower, and with the rain, the ceiling was leaking. Okay-ish hotel. Messages you receive from the owner must be translated in English with Google Translate, but the check-in process pdf is in English."

"We booked two nights, but only stayed for one. The photos on this listing were of a different room than we got. The room was around 7 feet wide and way too small for a couple with luggage. The outside tub was for only one person at a time. I asked for an extra futon for extra padding (the futons were maybe 2 inches thick) and there was an extra charge per night. "It is clean and sufficient. Downside is that it is a bit dated, lack out power outlets to charge all the electronic devices. The host, Ken is very friendly and gave me a excellent intro of the area. I only stayed one night before hiking the Kumano Kodo. It is close to the train/bus station so that is a plus."
