Located just two hours from Washington, DC and Baltimore, MD, this 3 br-1ba cabin is nestled in the Appalachian Mountains of Almost Heaven West Virginia. One of the few properties at The Woods that backs directly to Sleepy Creek Wildlife Management Area, this cabin was completely renovated in 2020.
Cedar Loft is fully furnished with antique furniture, sourced locally and painted by the owner, and special finds from the property. The cabin is the perfect combination of modern convenience and rustic charm surrounded by nature. This mountain getaway is ideal for those seeking peace and quiet or those with a penchant for outdoor adventure. It’s an ideal homebase for hiking, fishing, hunting, paddling, birdwatching, cycling, skiing/snowboarding, tubing or simply reconnecting with nature. The Woods is an 1800-acre-community situated at the northern gateway to the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. Its location allows for easy access to four states—West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania. Sleepy Creek Wildlife Management Area, a nearly-23,000-acre tract of state land that includes an extensive trail network and opportunities is adjacent to The Woods, offering a wide variety of trees, plants and animals.
Cedar Loft sleeps 6 comfortably with three bedrooms and one bathroom. The master bedroom features a queen size bed, the second bedroom has a full size bed and the third bedroom in the loft features a twin bed and twin trundle. Linens and towels, blankets, pillows, a hair dryer, and an iron and ironing board are provided for guest use.
The cabin has a full kitchen, completely updated with granite countertops and new appliances. It has a Keurig, coffee maker, hand mixer, blender, toaster, can opener, pots & pans, dishes, cutlery, selection of coffee and tea, and basic kitchen spices. The living area has a smart TV with streaming capabilities, Xfinity cable, a DVD player, a large DVD movie selection and high speed internet/WiFi. A wood stove is available for seasonal use. There is no landline phone. Please check with your cell provider for service availability.
