"This is the worst hotel we’ve ever stayed in. When we arrived all locked up,eventually got hold of owner who came ,took our money and told us what room . No towels in bathroom, old and dated. Went for a meal in centre and told hotel closed in December, of which I’m not surprised. There was no services on site would rather it was cancelled prior to arrival and we would have got alternative accommodation "

"Nice and simple. Nothing amazing, but nothing bad. However, they didn't have our hotels.com booking in their system when we arrived. Fortunately, they had enough rooms for us and kept the rate agreed."

"Fantastic host so kind and attentive. Room was very clean and big comfortable bed with great pillows. Bathroom was huge. Lovely gardens. Convenient to local supermarket. Breakfast was more than we could eat with a variety of fruit, pastries, baguette, cheese, yoghurt and jams. Host asked if we would like eggs too! Coffee tea and hot chocolate too!"

"This is in a retirement complex within walking distance (1km) of the centre of Lisieux. The room we had was good, with a kitchen with Hob and microwave and a dining area. At the weekend the access to the building is by key code and the reception is not manned all the time. Very quiet. The set up seems quite surreal, but actually works well."

"Everything was absolutely great: the hosts, the rooms (excellent mattress) the gardens, the aperitifs, diner, breakfast and the other guests. Sabine and Francois welcomed us like “old friends”.
