Indoors you'll find a wood burning fireplace, full coffee bar, 2 spacious King suites, 4 total bedrooms, and 3 baths. Don't forget to soak in all the vibrant colors from the luxurious hot tub. *The bathrooms on the first floor have been newly renovated. The basement bathroom of the lake house has not been renovated, but is functional and a full bathroom. The foosball table pictured in the basement is being replaced with an air hockey table this fall.
Runners/Mountain Bikers:
Start right outside the door and follow the lake road to nearby trails.
The Gravel Pit Road trailhead, just 0.5 miles away, connects to over 300 miles of mountain bike, ATV, and running trails.
Fishing Info:
Explore the navigable channel from McClain Lake to Upper Twin Lake, known for Class A musky waters, filled with Musky, Perch, and Bluegill.
Fish directly from our new dock for bass and panfish.
Swimming Info:
McClain Lake has a mucky bottom, so we provide a lily pad at the end of the dock for guests to enjoy swimming.
Swimming is also enjoyable off a pontoon or from a nearby island.
Boating Info:
A public boat landing is 4 minutes away by car. Guests are welcome to bring their own boat, though McClain Lake is a no-wake lake.
Upper Twin Lake allows wakes between 11 am-5 pm and is accessible via a channel. Black Iron Grill is accessible by boat for lakeside dining.
Pontoon rentals available through Hayward Power Sports, with a 10% discount code provided after booking.
ATV/UTV/Snowmobilers:
All town roads are ATV routes unless otherwise marked; please drive slowly on our road for neighbors' safety.
Trailhead located at the end of our road.
Parking available for up to 2 trailers with a roundabout for maneuvering.
Parking/Driveway:
Summer parking: 6+ cars; winter parking: 5 cars.
Shared EV charger spot available.
The driveway is steep and challenging in winter; 4WD is highly recommended. Roundabout access shared with a neighbor’s drive for easier navigation.

What is included in my stay? Access to the Lake House and its private amenities (hot tub, dock, firepit, grill, kayaks, SUP, etc.). Shared amenities include EV charger, parking, canoe, and Lily Pad.
Can I bring a long trailer? Yes, ample parking is available with a roundabout for turning trailers.
What do you do to prevent bugs? Regular pest treatments are done to reduce spiders, mosquitoes, and ticks.
Dock depth and size? The dock is approximately 4 ft deep and 16 ft long (expanding to 24 ft in Spring 2024).
Grill type? Combination charcoal and smoker for easy family meals.
Neighbor proximity? Neighbors are 150 ft away, separated by forest. McClain Lake’s no-wake rule provides a peaceful setting.
Early check-in/late check-out? Available upon request, subject to availability. Early check-ins before 3 PM may incur additional charges.

Dog Policy:
Dog-friendly property; other friendly dogs may be present.
