Glenside Cottage with private hot tub
Our charming one bedroom holiday cottage is situated within the grounds of our delightful 15 acre equestrian property on the edge of the Pembrokeshire National Park. Birtwick Park is located on the outskirts of the picturesque harbour village of Solva with its quaint shops, galleries and traditional pubs and restaurants. The property enjoys spectacular views to the coast across rolling Pembrokeshire countryside and is perfect for animal lovers and walkers of the coastal path. Cyclists can explore the county with direct access onto national cycle route 4 and horse riders can enjoy superb hacking to the beach and aerodrome. Britain's smallest city of St Davids is on the doorstep featuring the spectacular cathedral and Bishops Palace and Newgale’s magnificent sandy beach, popular with surfers and families alike is nearby. The spacious upstairs bedroom has ample space to offer flexible accommodation for up to 4 guests. This can be configured as either a superking or twin bedded room, with or without 2 additional single guest beds.
The fully enclosed courtyard garden which overlooks the pony paddocks has a garden table and chairs and BBQ and is perfect for relaxing on a summers evening whilst watching the sunset. When the sun goes down, why not enjoy your favourite tipple from the luxury of the secluded private use hot tub at the rear of the cottage? Two well behaved dogs are welcomed at the property and holiday livery can be provided for those wishing to bring their horses on holiday (additional fees apply).

Spacious with good views
The cottage was spacious and well equipped, dishwasher, washing machine and fridge were modern. Kitchen and bathroom tiles were stylish and shower was hot and powerful. No wi-fi but 4g was good. Cottage was very isolated and an information pack of places to visit would have been helpful. Bed very comfortable but because the bedding wasn't ironed it didn't look inviting. A little more attention to detail would have made the stay perfect.
Disappointed with cleanliness. We paid for a deep and thorough cleaning. It wasn’t great. Equestrian property so lots of flies. Hot tub not welcoming cover not properly secure. It appeared that we weren’t expected until last minute. Dirty stain on duvet. Pet hair on towels. Needs sprucing up.
My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the cottage. Jayne was a great host and knew the area well which helped us plan our stay. It was also great to be so close to the horses on the property but also near lovely beaches and trips to Solva, St David's and more. The hot tub is incredible! And the property was very clean and spacious and had all the facilities needed for our stay. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to visit West Wales but have the option to come back after a busy day and enjoy some quiet time.
Really enjoyed our stay, the cottage was lovely and was really clean. Was based in a lovely area and the hot tub was amazing. Will definitely go back again.

Good
Overall lovely and clean. Lovely quality kitchen and bathroom. No WIFI. No extra blankets or pillows and without the heating being constantly on all night no way of staying warm whilst sleeping. Really not a fan of two beds being pushed together. Needs a proper kingsize or double. Quilt was so thin. Did not realise owners would be walking past the patio doors so for privacy had to keep curtains closed as within a meter from the door.
The cottage is fabulous. Everything you could wish for. Spotlessly clean. Comfortable and modern and so peaceful. The hot tub is fantastic and very private and the prosecco was a lovely gesture. The views are gorgeous and we had a lovely 3 night stay. Thank you so much.
Fantastic cottage with everything you need and the hot tub is an added bonus and my family really enjoyed the company of the horses, everything was sqeeky clean as you would expect during these difficult times located near some amazing beauty spots on the Welsh coast.
If your thinking about this cottage don't think long just book it you won't be disappointed.
We had an amazing week here, the property is beautiful with everything you could need!
Jayne and her husband were very welcoming and the area is great. Not far from Newgale beach or Solva & St Davids.
Although the weather was not great the area around the hot tub was well shielded meaning we could still use it!
Thank you so much for a lovely stay!
well furnished and equipped property in an away from it all position but with easy accsess to the main StDavids Haverfordwest road.Owned by a lovely family who are good hosts.
We had a lovely visit. The lady was very welcoming. The house was lovely.we had a great time going in a boat trip we booked with aquaphobia in St David's.
Also an amazing lunch at "something fishy, solva" a couple of minutes drive from the site.
We had an amazing break at the property. House was clean, amenities were spot on and it just had everything we needed.
Hot tub was an absolute dream. Sitting outside watching the stars was just the best.
Really close to stunning beaches and coastal walks too.
Owner was friendly and really helpful.
Will definitely come back here in the future.
Thank you so much x
Jayne was very welcoming and helpful, sadly the weather was not so welcoming so we left earlier than planned. The area is beautiful though with local pubs on the doorstep that did very good food. It was lovely to sit in the living room watching Jaynes horses, the accommodation was very comfortable.
We had a very welcoming stay at Jayne's cottage, her communication was fantastic & we felt very much at home from the moment we arrived.
The property is close to Solva, St Davids & also Newgale Beach which makes it a stunning location. It's the first time we've visited this part of Wales & we loved it.
We ate at The Bishops in St Davids & also at the Harbour Inn at Solva. Both meals were great.
We had our two small dogs with us & felt that they were very much at home too. The cottage is very dog friendly & the surrounding area is fabulous for dog walks.
Thank you to Jayne & her family, it was a pleasure to stay in your cottage.
Communication with Jayne through messages was easy and fast response. The cottage was easy to find and check in easy. The cottage itself was spotless, the kitchen had everything you would need if you wanted to cook and having a dishwasher means no ne has to wash up :) Lovely bathroom with a great shower. Stacks of dvds to fall asleep to on the comfy recliner sofa before going to bed in the biggest bed ever which was also soooo comfy i had the best sleeps ever. The hot tub was an added bonus and lovely to relax in after a long day walking the beautiful coastal path. It could do with a few added touches like a guest folder with appliance instructions, recycling bins & waste locations and maybe some visitor leaflets and area guides, but even without these we still give the place 5 out of 5 only wish i'd booked to stay longer. The pharmacy tearoom does the best pot of tea and staff were lovely. If we plan to go back to the area would def be staying here again.

Lovely short break
Easy to find property (following the Birtwick Campsite brown signs ) and made to feel very welcome on arrival and throughout the stay by the owner who lives close by. Very clean and modern property with all amenities you could desire and beautiful views over the fields (and the horses who live there too). Took advantage of the giant secluded hot tub. Lots of things to see and do in the local area, more so if you have transport. Highly recommend the Cambrian Inn for food although it’s a little on the expensive side, there are plenty of reasonably priced places to eat about also. Will be returning here for sure if we want to come back to the area again. 5*

Nice place but needs a little more attention
Nicely located, with views over open fields, though access through farmyard is a little messy. A newish purpose-built building, well equipped with nice, modern white goods etc.. Spacious sitting/dining space, with nice view out, and spacious bedroom. Disappointments were the hot tub - better described as a tepid tub, and definitely not at the 40C shown on the thermometer. Just not warm enough. Otherwise, a handbook/folder giving basic information, such as location and setting of the heating, how to dispose of rubbish etc. would be a big help. Most places have one. Owners friendly and welcoming.

Lovely, peaceful cottage, with full amenities.
Glenside Cottage is beautiful, well-appointed and in a very quiet, yet easily accessible location. It was immaculate, with everything we needed, and was a pleasure to stay in. It was very comfortable and clean. We would definitely consider staying there again.
