To quote my 8 year old. Beautiful, Breathtaking, and Wonderful. This is on of those amazing places you only dream about being able to go to. The location is supreme, the views awesome, and the cottage is amazing. The cottage itself is old looking like an 1800s stone cottage should, BUT the inside is high tech. There is all the modern amenities and conveniences that you need. Shower and clawfoot tub (the boys loved bubble baths) a quality crapper. Washing machine, dryer, two frigs, freezer, mudroom, hot water on control, and AGA stove, dish washer, great wifi, good TV (never used), bedrooms great twin beds for the boys, great queen bed for us. It was very cold and windy when we were there but the heat worked well, we got to us the wooden shutters too. I love the entrance and skeleton key to get in. Warning (doorways in are low) I hit my head 3 times ouch :().
As for the location, you can not ask for anything more, we did two family hikes on the coastal trail, one to the top of the ridge behind house, and one to the secluded beach with sea caves and waterfalls. Also sheep next door, saw wild pheasant, and horses on the ridge. Great hikes.
The boys and I loved the grassy area to play soccer and flashlight tag at night. EVERYTHING IS PERFECT, the owners and managers have done it right. It's like a high end beach house Wales style.
I am looking forward to spending a summer week there so we can use the beach, go surfing, and play some golf (both of which are within in eyesight of the house). I can not say enough good things about this property. The local town (just 5 minutes away) of St. Davids is beautiful. The church is wonderful, we went to evensong at church to hear organ, also went to a rugby match, and ate at Bishops pub in town twice.
If you are even remotely thinking about going to Southwest Wales, stay here, it is worth the extra drive, you will not be disappointed.
