Tack Room Studio on 280 acre Sevier River Ranch - 1 King and 2 Twin Beds

The Tack Room It is part of an existing group of 6 cabins on a 300 acre cattle ranch at Sevier River Ranch & Cattle Company - a quiet 280+ acre ranch in Hatch, Utah, between Bryce Canyon (25 mins) and Zion National Park (50 mins). It shares a building with Farriers Quarter and The Barn, They are cabin style and similar to a 3 unit Motel. This is your opportunity to enjoy a stay in a recently remodeled cabin. Have a look at the top reviews for other cabins at Sevier River Ranch & Cattle Company and rest assured that your expectations will be exceeded.

This is a single log cabin style room with a luxury bathroom included. It has been recently remodeled with travertine floors throughout (no carpet). The room features a travertine bathroom and a kitchen with granite counter tops and custom hickory cabinets. It has handmade log beds.

The Tack Room also features a fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances, a kitchen table, and a flat screen smart TV (you can use it to log into your Netflix or other accounts. The ranch includes pastures with the Sevier River meandering throughout and majestic sunsets. It has central heating and air conditioning.

High speed Internet service (free wifi) and Smart TV available to use with your accounts. WiFi has been upgraded to the new local fiber optic network.

There are also 4 other small cabins on the property and a 3 bedroom house within 200 feet or so from The Tack Room: The Ranch House, Wranglers Quarters, Ranch Hands Bunkhouse, and The Barn have been in operation for several years. Farriers Quarters and The Tack Room were added for the 2020 Season. These cabins may be reserved together with The Tack Room (through separate listings) for your large group gathering. Be advised that other guests will be staying in other cabins during your stay in The Tack Room. Our cabins book almost 100 % during the busy season.

You will enjoy a good night rest in eery silence. If you're from the big city, it will take some getting used to!

The property is equipped with state-of-the-art electronic locks so that guests can check themselves in at any time, and late check-in is not a problem. Guests can roam freely on the ranch as well as fish (with a Utah fishing license, that can be purchased online) and swim in the Sevier River.

We are always available to answer any questions or give you tips for day trips or restaurants. Do not hesitate to reach out with any question, prior or during your trip.

You can explore the natural wonders of the area. The Ranch is located between 2 of the most visited National Parks in the country. Animal lovers will see horses and cattle on the property during the summer, many deer roaming the property, and can watch a large array of birds right from the deck. We have the biggest animal sanctuary (Friends) in the US 45 minutes away. It is situated on the Sevier River in Hatch, Utah, a small rural town of 200 people. Locals are very friendly and helpful, and you shouldn't hesitate to ask anyone for tips and recommendations.

The Sevier River Ranch is very private on the edge of town. It sits on 280+ acres and is traversed by the Sevier River and there are typically 100+ head of cattle on the property during the summer season.

Note that there are no grocery stores in Hatch and you should plan to bring at least some food with you. The nearest grocery store is in Panguitch (15 mins) and you will find a Walmart Super Center in Cedar City or a grocery store in Kanab (1 hour). There are two convenience stores and 4 restaurants in Hatch, but they close from about October 15th through April 15th. There are several restaurants on the way to Bryce Canyon and some are open year round.

There is no public transportation. You will need a car (4x4 or high clearance is recommended in order to enjoy the surrounding off-road trails), but a regular low-clearance sedan is sufficient to access the Ranch House itself.

We have a strict no-pet and no-smoking policy.

We enjoyed the property very much. It was a joy to sit on the swings and take in the quiet and the beauty. The night sky was also amazing. The interior of the rooms were beautiful and very clean. Having a kitchen and full size refrigerator was very helpful. Would definitely stay again

Unfortunately not able to stay
Definitely get travel insurance. They stand by their cancellation policy. Zero refund after than cancellation date. Completely understandable. I cannot argue this. We did not get insurance to protect our trip. We live in Charlotte County, FL and had direct impact from Hurricane Milton. Complete devastation here. We tried our best to not lose the money. Flights were canceled. We rescheduled them and they were canceled again. We could have driven to another state to get a flight but the power was out for over 2 days and we could not leave my senior mother and small dog. We opted to stay to run the generator and keep the house intact. Property manager was kind but unfortunately we were not able to fulfill our contract and enjoy the property. We should have prepared better for the unknown. I know the property is amazing and wish we could see Utah. Hoping for a better experience next time !!

Peaceful Retreat Well Situated for National Parks Exploration
The Tack Room was very well appointed, peaceful and comfortable. We appreciated having the kitchen to make meals after long days of hiking, plus the fire pit to enjoy and keep warm while stargazing. We loved watching the goldfinches out the kitchen window and the Utah prairie dogs on the property. Perfect location for exploring Bryce Canyon. Go to the Outlaw Saloon right down the street for great food and service!

Cows and Stars!
My husband and I booked this room for our visit to Bryce Canyon. We loved how it was tucked away, yet still accessible. The cows truly did greet us (and they were so cute!). There aren't many restaurants in the area, but we had a delicious, reasonably-priced, hearty meal at the Outlaw Saloon and the staff was extremely friendly. For breakfast, we grabbed coffee and sandwiches just down the street at Sevier Coffee and it kept us full all morning! Our room was cozy and the bed was so comfy! Everything was clean and it was convenient to have a fridge/freezer with a speedy ice-maker! Communication with Gordon was awesome... he was informative, and quick to respond to a question I had. A bonus to all of these good things is that when we returned from dinner, we walked along the path and were awe-struck by the beauty of the stars and the Milky Way.

Great place to stay!
We wanted a place to stay between Zion and Bryce. We found this place, and it was perfect. The kids were pumped when we opened the door to a nice log cabin, that was decorated super cutely. Of the hotel-like places we stayed on our trip, this was by far our favorite.

This property is perfect. The beds are comfortable. The cabin has everything you need to just relax and do not much. There are prairie dogs, chipmunks and rabbits in the field next to you. The cows will greet you also. Restaurants are 5 to 20 minutes away.

My husband and I wanted to visit Bryce Canyon National Park but do not love dealing with people on vacation. This place was perfect. It was 30 minutes away from the park and tucked back on some farmland. We were greeted by the cattle the second we crossed the cattle guard and surrounded by nature the entire time. The Tack Room was super cute and clean. It was well worth getting the kitchen to be able to cook during our two night stay. Definitely would recommend!

Great stay! Ranch is close to Bryce ( 15-20 min) and Zion Nat Park ( 45 mins? To East Gate entrance). Easy day drives to local hiking trails and lakes. Town is small with a few eating options - The Outlaw Saloon - Beer and Pork Nachos. We were there just before Summer .season so there may be more places to eat now. RANCH- nice place to slow down at end of the day and sit on the benches/ swings and take in the silence! If you are a bird nerd we saw 8 new birds to add to our list.

We enjoyed a great stay and toured all the great sights in the area. Found it to be a good location as a "home base." Gordon was great in communication, everything was in order and clean. We enjoyed watching the rabbit at our kitchen window, the prairie dogs in the pasture, and birds who always greeted our arrival "home."

Off the Beaten Path
This property is in a remote location. The yard would be a wonderful place to spend an evening enjoying solitude and star gazing. The room was clean, pleasantly decorated, and adequately equipped for cooking. Note that there is not much around here during the winter/spring season, so getting food will involve a fair drive if you don’t bring something along with you. If you plan to cook and enjoy wine with dinner, definitely bring your own!

Epic, Tranquil, Remote
We loved getting away to this little cabin. The property is beautiful and peaceful, definitely a great value for a small family or couples. The area is pretty remote, so packing plenty of food and necessities is recommended. You won't find grocery stores or restaurants in the little town of Hatch, so plan on making your own meals. We do most of our own cooking and were happy to do so in the quaint little kitchen in the Tack Room. It doesn't have a lot of gadgets due to lack of storage space, but we adapted just fine. There was also a well-stocked spice rack. The whole cabin was spotless and cozy, we felt like spoiled pioneers in our comfy beds with fluffy comforters and ample pillows. The walk in shower was roomy and the water pressure/hot water was perfect. The cabin is close to Bryce and Zion, so excursions were convenient. We loved that they had a fire pit and swing seats to relax around at night. The river that runs throughout the property is so picturesque and when the sun sets in the evenings, you can see the rays reflecting off the red rock canyons, making them glow. Overall, a magical experience!

Restful stop between Zion and Bryce
We stopped here after what was supposed to be our visit to Zion (but we ran out of time in our day). Luckily, the Tack Room proximity is so close that we were able to backtrack after checkout and see Zion, then head to Bryce. The area is so calm and peaceful-- after a week on the road through the Four Corners states, this was one of my favorite spots. The room itself had everything we needed: comfy beds, a great shower, a stocked kitchen, and a table for 4. The outdoor space was a great place for our kids to stretch their legs. We would love to return-- one night wasn't long enough!
