"Staff was very friendly & helpful plenty of choice to eat in the restaurant, down sides there was a work station in the room but no chair to sit on to work, TV was very hit and miss it is free view and most of the channels didn’t work toilet roll was just placed on the top of the holder which is very lazy by housekeeping. Bed had sharp wooden corners on it which I caught my shin on 3 or 4 times I’m sure it would be easy enough to make the corners round instead of sharp "

"Family room was perfect, we didn't feel cramped and there was 5 of us. Room service was fast and housekeeping was fab as we were there 2nights, everything tidied and restocked for us."

"Wonderful, grand, welcoming place. We used this as the setting of a team meeting to build our relationships, objective complete! The setting really brought everyone together with space for everyone to be involved. A packed agenda during the day, relaxing together cooking regional dishes in the evening, then games in the cellar in the later evening. This place is so versatile in amazing surroundings, i would definitely recommend for a group booking."

"I haven't received the email with the key code yet. When I managed to reach the responsible person, they sounded frustrated on the phone, as if it was my fault they hadn't fulfilled their responsibilities properly The advertisement was ambiguous, and I wasn't aware that the bathroom was separate. Additionally, the room wasn't clean, and the towels provided were dirty, so I had to get my own. The heating wasn't functioning, and it was uncomfortably cold. "Host was very welcoming, then you are left alone with own entrance to property which is fantastic. The decor is just as you would expect from a budget guesthouse but everything is spotlessly clean. They have everything you need for a low cost and comfortable stay."

"Beautiful lodge in a fantastic spot right on the east durham coastal path with fabulous views. The lodge was fully equipped with everything you could possibly need a real home from home. Lovely furniture on the decking to sit and eat, dolphin spot or just watch the world go by!"

"Super place to stay - right on rhe beach and near the pubs and restauarants. Secure parking round the back or parking on the green. The room was fabulous, splotlessly clean, tea and coffee, and bottled water . Breakfast was superb and the staff are lovely and friendly. I will definitely return !"
