"I appreciated the welcome call I received from the staff, guiding me to find the hotel, which was nice and easy. I did have to wait outside a little, as the instructions on how to enter aren’t quite that easy to understand, but only a couple of minutes and I was greeted. I was shown to my room, which was fine for one night. I slept really well, the room was nice and warm and the bed was fine. There was a nice hot shower and decent bathroom. "Easy check in. We had parked elsewhere as underground carpark appeared closed but apparently you have to get a code from reception to use their carpark. Breakfast very good indeed. Lady serving breakfast is excellent at her job. Would stay again. Room 5 was quiet, could do with a lick of paint but very clean. "

Winter stay in Dorset

"On traditionally bleak winters day in south west Dorset this hotel was warm and welcoming, spacious and well presented rooms. Breakfast was well cooked and served promptly. A strong 9/10 because although you should never judge a book by the cover, this hotel lets it self down with it's exterior presentation"

"For an Inn, the George Inn has blown my mind away from having that welcoming customer services to the comfortable, peaceful, luxurious stay overnight. I wished that I booked for a few days as the location was convenient to all attractions in the area. To top up off, the price is just attractive for a last-minute booking."

Would stay again

"Amazing place, temperature was minus and freezing so couldn’t get the heating high enough, but to be fair the bed was extremely comfy and had a really good sleep before going onto my next location, would definitely stay again and give time to use the facilities better! The Nog inn was a great local pub for food and drink 5 mins in a taxi "

"It was very good value for money, bed was very comfortable, room very clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. It does need a little TLC in places but it’s a character property and the maintenance is probably endless. Breakfast was good. Location is brilliant, in the centre of Wimborne. And there was parking! "
