"On arrival to the bar area empty tables were full of glasses plates etc we had to move them ourselves to sit down. When checking in for dinner the young man questioned our booking and repeatedly asked my husband for his details while I explained it was under my name to which he was not interested and I found this very disappointing! Then he found our booking and laughed and said “ my bad “ I just needed to scroll up” at dinner we ordered bread and olives which didn’t arrive before our starters...

"Pros: Great location if you’re visiting / doing business in Ampthill. Great food and drinks downstairs. The staff were always friendly, helpful and welcoming. Cons: no on premise parking. Closest parking is a municipal lot…10 pounds for 24 hours. When I checked in my room was made up as 2 singles instead of a double as requested. Beds were a tad small & uncomfortable. Walls are thin, I could hear my neighbors “chatting” until midnight the night before I was planning on checking out. Otherwise...
