"A great hotel with an excellent breakfast, it's the perfect place to stay if you want to explore the mountains/nature in the area. The bar and restaurant below are great as well especially in winter. The room was very clean, quiet and well stocked. "I have stayed at the Royal Victoria Hotel on a few previous occasions over the past 15 years. I was really looking forward to returning - and as soon as I walked in I felt good about being back. And I wasn't let down in my expectations- the check in was pleasant and easy and when we got to the room we we were really impressed with the space and mountain view (first time I had tried the 'executive' room option - it was worth it) We dined at the bar restaurant that evening and the food was good, and again the staff very pleasant. Breakfast next day was busy as a coach load of departing guest seemed to be bustling to eat up quickly - but even so, the staff did a good job of keeping everyone happy and served on time. We stayed at breakfast a bit longer and enjoyed a slower breakfast and thought the food was very nice - especially the quality of the bread. We chatted to the staff a bit too - who were all very friendly. In all - I consider that for the very fair price asked for a nights stay, that the hotel provides a really very pleasant experience for staying in the area. Absolutely would plan to return some day."

"Have stayed here before and will stay here again. Great experience from checking in to checking out. Staff are friendly, helpful and generally lovely. Rooms are clean, well decorated and furnished. Shower is spacious and powerful. Breakfast is included and there are a good number of options, excellent! A great bonus is the free parking in a secure car park. I have nothing negative to say, very happy 😊 "

"We had a lovely stay at TheRoyal Oak. Staff are very friendly. The rooms were kept very clean and fresh towels every day. We ate in the restaurant every night and the food was excellent. All in all it was a great stay."
