"I had a pleasant experience with extremely friendly staff and perfect dinner and breakfast. The indoor and outdoor hot springs in the guest rooms are clean and provide a great view of downtown Yufuin and Mt. Yufu. I was disappointed that the weather on the day I visited was a bit bad, but that definitely makes me want to visit Toshoan again next time."

"Waranino is heaven on earth. Unlike traditional ryokan, this is utterly modern and beautifully set in a wooded glen. The staff are so welcoming and helpful. "Our stay was unique and our hosts were hospitable and warm. A family run ryokan. The kaiseki dinner was also aesthetically pleasing and delish! Our chalet was very private and set in the midst of the woods. It had a private bath and bedrock sauna that looked out into the maple trees and bamboo trees. Great for relaxing after climbing Mt Aso!"
