Large holiday home with garden near the lake

This spacious holiday home is called the mill of Schwingmuhle and is located in the woods of "Pays de Bitche", nearby the village of Hanviller. Pays de Bitche is situated in the heart of the Nature Park of the northern Vosges, on the border with Lorraine, the Elzas and Germany. The woody environment is ideal for outings on foot, horseback or with your mountain bike. This spacious gîte enjoys a calm location and is semi-detached to the owners' home. The living room has a fire place for which wood is provided free of charge. On the mezzanine, a sitting corner has been installed where you can read or watch tv in peace and quiet. A terrace of 25 m2 with wooden garden furniture is at your disposal. Here you can enjoy long summer nights sipping on a glass of Moselle wine. The garden is well-shaded and there is a swing for the children.

Lovely place to relax.
We stayed there with our adult children and their friends. There were enough rooms and beds. A friendy host family as neighbor. Nice places for swimming not so far away by car. You need a car indeed.

Wir haben das zweite mal in Folge in Hanviller im Haus von Fam. Colling unseren Urlaub verbracht. Die Zeit war einfach wunderbar. Die Vermieter waren super nett und hilfsbereit (wir bekamen nicht nur einen Grill geliehen, sondern auch noch die Grillkohle oben drauf) und hätten uns immer an die Fam. Colling wenden können, falls wir noch etwas benötigten. Das Haus ist geräumig, sehr sauber und mit allem ausgestattet. was man im Urlaub so braucht. Es liegt direkt am Waldrand und ist für Haustiere ideal. Wir haben mit unserem kleinen Hund eine sehr schöne Zeit verbracht, an die wir uns gerne zurück erinnern. Wir werden immer im nächsten Jahr wieder dort buchen. Fam Preibisch, Speyer

Het verblijf was uitstekend bij de familie Colling. Wij werden gastvrij ontvangen met een fles wijn voor ons en zelfgemaakte appelsap voor de kinderen. Het huisje was voorzien van een meer dan complete inrichting. Tuinstoelkussens, zeer complete keukeninrichting compleet voorzien met kruiden, wasmiddel, vaatwastabletten en schoonmaakartikelen en middelen. De tafeltennistafel met veel toebehoor was erg geliefd bij onze tieners en de 9-jarige vond genoeg afleiding bij de schommel en trampoline. De eigenaren zijn erg vriendelijk en gastvrij. Je hoeft niet naar het toeristencentrum, zij hebben gezorgd dat voorzien van folders en brochures van de omgeving. Wij waren er in een tijd met hoge temperaturen maar de gite was heerlijk koel. Ondanks de la Horne die voorbij stroomt hadden we eeinig tot geen last van muggen. Let eel op bij aankomst, google maps laat een locatie zien midden in het dorp Hanviller terwijl de gite iets buiten het dorp ligt in de richting van Bitche. Een toplocatie waar de enige rust af en toe onderbroken wordt door voorbij rijdende fietsers en een startende wandelaar richting de Cascade. De kinderen genoten ook van de militairen die het bos in gestuurd werden, de gite grenst aan een militair oefenterrein waar je geen last van hebt. Een echte aanrader!!!

Een aanrader! Wat een mooi en superschoon huis. Voldoende ruimte voor 5 volwassenen en 3 kinderen. Een prachtige tuin met uitgebreid tuinmeubilair waar we heerlijk gebruik van hebben kunnen maken. Een zeer hartelijke ontvangst bij de brandende houtkachel en iets lekkers stond voor ons klaar. Bedankt voor de gastvrijheid May en Jos, we komen zeker terug. Familie van der Kroef

Wij hadden de navigatie ingesteld op de coordinaten zoals die in de reisbescheiden stonden. Dan kom je echter midden in het dorp uit terwijl de locatie van het vakantieadres zo’n 1,5 km buiten het dorp ligt. We werden uiterst vriendelijk ontvangen. De accommodatie is zeer compleet met o.a. Een goed bed. Het is een mooie omgeving met veel bos.

Schöner, ruhiger Aufenthalt

Zeer hartelijk ontvangst door de eigenaren van de accommodatie. Ook naderhand informeren ze je graag over de omgeving en zijn benieuwd of je het naar de zin hebt. Eigenaren spreken naast Frans ook Duits en Engels. Koel huisje in de zomer met mooie tuin en veranda erbij. Zeer ruim, met goed geoutilleerde keuken. Beetje gedateerde in richting maar dat boeit ons niet. Prima bedden. Redelijke WiFi. Goeie tv met natuurlijk allemaal Franse zenders. Als je HDMI kabel meeneemt, kun je vanaf je laptop streamen. (of Chrome cast). Neem een vliegenmepper en Deet mee. Prachtige natuurlijke omgeving waar je prima kunt fietsen en lopen. Fransen spreken in dit deel van Frankrijk meestal behoorlijk Duits en een beetje Engels. Ze doen erg hun best om je te helpen. Verder zijn er weinig toeristen. Voornamelijk wat Duitsers en een enkele Nederlander. In Bitche kun je goed bootschappen doen. Met kinderen is het leuk de tuin van Bitche te bezoeken. In het meertje bij Haspelschiedt kun je goed zwemmen. Strasbourg is een mooie stad om te bezoeken. Wel erg toeristisch.

We werden vriendelijk ontvangen door de huiseigenaren die ons meteen een rondleiding gaven. De eigenaren wonen naast de vakantiewoning en spreken Frans, Engels en Duits. Ze zijn erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Het huis is heel fijn en compleet en de omgeving is prachtig. Het huis bleef lekker koel bij hoge temperaturen. De bedden waren goed, ze zijn wel aan de korte kant. Het grote balkon is een pluspunt, net als de ruime tuin. Tip bij (heel) warm weer bij verschillende campings in de buurt kun je (tegen een kleine vergoeding) zwemmen in prachtige meren. Onze kinderen (5 en 7 jaar) hebben zich ook zeer goed vermaakt en wilden niet meer naar huis.

We hebben een fijne vakantie achter de rug in La Schwingmuhle. Mooie streek en veel gedaan op een week. Wij bezoeken meestal stadjes, dorpjes en bezienswaardigheden en zijn goed aan ons trekken gekomen en voor de kids hadden we een dagje Europa park ingelast. de familie Brouwers uit Turnhout

het huisje is gunstig gelegen aan de rand van een schitterend bos , waarin we zeer mooie wandelingen gemaakt hebben . De eigenaars zijn zeer vriendelijk en bereidwillig . Het huisje zelf is redelijk donker wegens de kleine ramen en de bomen die ervoor staan . Maar het heeft wel een aantrekkelijk terras .
