Best house on the beach!
This architectural gem of a beach house is not the biggest, but it has the best cozy living room with a great view. The weather was a little cool and wet, so we didn’t get to spend much time on the excellent beach. Maybe next time! The furnace is a little temperamental, but there are sufficient space heaters to make up for it if needed.

Another Great Stay at the Beach
We've lost count of how many times we've stayed at the Beach Beal House. Kristie is always great with communication. The views and the beach just can't be beat. We'll be back next year (and the next and the next...).

Beale Beach property fantastic find
This property is exactly as advertised only better! This is the second time in five months we have stayed here and love it. A perfect location for enjoying the Hansville area and watching the marine traffic and fauna. Our only glitch was one that has been identified by others - problems with the heating system. Other credit - the owner/manager Kristie, was expedient in contacting repair people who came first thing on Monday morning and who fixed the faulty capacitor on blower motor — only to have it quit again by Thursday. I feel bad for her because she was definitely receptive to the problem and tried to take care of it in a timely manner. . Other than the heating problem (there are space heaters for every room that helped) — nothing else was a problem. It is a premium spot and we will be back again before next season! Thanks for everything Kristie! Trish and John

Another great stay!
This was our second stay at this house, and it was as special as we remembered. Very comfortable and such a great beachfront location. Nice walk to the lighthouse. Fully stocked kitchen. Just note that the beach-facing bedroom gets pretty bright early in the morning when the sun comes up in the summer…

Another wonderful time! This house is so clean and comfortable. Kayaking, paddle boarding, walking the beach, watching the porpoise, seals, eagles, and we even had a whale pass by in June. Love it! Can't wait to go back.

Paradise
This is the 7th year I have brought my grandchildren to Beals Beach House. They never get tired of walking the beach and looking for new discoveries at low tide. Sunrises, sunsets, resident eagles, the light house. Long walks or just playing on the beach all day. True paradise!

Beautiful beach!!
We loved it & had a wonderful time. Beautiful beach house!! It was strange that the blinds did not close in all three of the bedrooms, they are all about 5 inches short. We felt like we were flashing the neighbors the whole week.

Long Weekend Stay
The setting is beautiful and the house is well furnished. The only negative was the fact the furnace did not work after the first night of arrival. There were two space heaters that could warm the main room by late afternoon. We alerted the owner to the situation. Unfortunately, it was not resolved during our four day stay, therefore, I could not give our stay a 5 star overall rating. Aside from that, everything was great.

Family & Beach!
Everything you need, nothing you don’t. This is a simple, classic mid century cabin built to maximize family time and the fantastic vistas. The bedroom are adequate, not fancy—but we’re here to spend time together and enjoy the outdoors, this shouldn’t matter. We love the partially covered deck, the no-bank beach, and the access to four nearby parks. The owner is wonderful, gracious, practical, and prompt. We are planning our fourth annual vacation to this special spot.

Beautiful Beach House
We really enjoyed our week in Hansville. The beach is beautiful, with lots of fun walks to the lighthouse to keep the kids busy & driftwood to play with. The house was very clean & well appointed. Our kids loved the bunk bed room with books/games/movies. We all loved the amazing views from the great room! With the huge windows we felt like we were on the bow of a ship. It was fun to watch the array of boat traffic & sea life. We liked the fire pit, even though it was only 30 degrees, the kids had fun roasting marshmallows. We also really enjoyed the HansGrill cafe/deli/general store just down the road. They had delicious food, local microbrews/wine & big TVs to watch football in a cozy atmosphere. It was very hard to leave and we look forward to visiting again soon.

Awesome Beach Stay
This was our 4th year to stay in the Beal Beach Cabin, so we obviously LOVE it. The location with direct, no bank beach access can't be beat. The indoor space is very accomodating, with a great kitchen equipped with everything you might need, including a waffle iron and crock pot! The beds are very comfortable (although because we were 6 adults, we wish that the bunk beds were separated into two single beds, as there is always drama about who sleeps there). There is always lots of Eagle action, and lots of big ships going by. We always enjoy the nightly parade of cruise ships (at least two every night). We have already booked our stay for next year. Kristie has always been a great, responsive host. There IS construction going on next door which starts pretty early, but that should be finished soon. All said, a stay at Beal's won't disappoint.

Can't beat the view
We really enjoyed our stay. The house was very clean upon our arrival and was exactly as described. We were surprised with how many people were out walking the beach every day (including us) even though it was freezing out, so I would imagine this little area gets fairly busy in the summertime...and we'd love to come back and find out. If we had any nit-picky complaints it would be that the TV is in need of an upgrade and the available TV channels are very limited - there were some important sporting events on during our stay that we wanted to watch but couldn't due to the fact that ESPN was not available. But that being said, I don't think anyone actually comes here to watch TV, it's really all about the beach and the view...which is the other nit-pick complaint - several of the window's in the house are failing and are becoming fogged up, this is beginning to hamper the view. I would imagine it's going to cost a pretty penny to replace all those windows so I can understand the reluctance to do so (been there, done that!). Although I think it's important to point out such things for other travelers I also believe those two things were certainly not a reason to knock a star off the review though. We found the house charming and comfortable and the beach awesome. Had it not been so cold during our stay we would have loved to build a fire down by the beach and soaked in the view, and judging by the set up of almost every other house on the beach, that's exactly what a lot of people do. Hope to come back in the summertime!

Great beach. Great views.
Overall, this is a great place to stay if you want great views, great access to the beaches, and to have a quiet getaway. It is close enough to ferries to Edmonds and Seattle for day trips, but removed enough to escape. I would certainly recommend it, but can’t quite give it five stars. The house is certainly older, but adequate for a place sleep. We had 5 of us (2 adults/3 teens) and it worked well. Our family has a lot of allergies and asthma and the house is a bit musty (as are most older costal homes), but it wasn’t too bad. While house and kitchen is stocked with some things, it felt a bit more like second hand and random leftover items. Overall clean and comfortable inside. Outside porches had lots of spider/cob webs. The modern conveniences advertised are a little lacking. While somewhat outside their control, the WiFi did not work at all. Owner was very responsive and tried to fix WiFi, but to no avail. The TV is small, cable channels very limited. DVD movies, books, games, etc. on hand are a bit random and dated, but available. I would definitely recommend this location for most people. I really wanted to give a five star, but wanted to give an honest review so others might benefit from a few slightly less than perfect elements. Again, nothing overly negative, just realities of what it is, a good quality 4 star location. We would certainly consider it his place again in the future. Owner is great, helpful, and friendly. Thank you!
