We absolutely loved staying here -- the views were spectacular! The house was super clean, spacious, and the beds were very comfortable. Excellent TVs, well equipped kitchen...it was all fantastic. We hope to stay here again!

This remote cottage is lovely and I recommend it highly. The views are great and the sunrise is spectacular. Quiet, clean, comfortable. Just a great place to spend the weekend of our son's wedding in Galena.

Such a peaceful and relaxing stay, that gets you away from the big city feeling, and appreciate all that a countryside provides, star gazing, bird watching, deer, cows, beautiful sunrises, wine from the vineyard, and evening campfire. Splendid setting. Web site was very accurate. The house was well kitted for guests. Many things to do in the area. Castle in Savannah, dinner in Galena, River museum in Dubuque all made it for a great birthday gift for my wife.

4 adults from Chicago escaped the city - upon arrival at the end of a winding road we found ourselves surrounded by a beautiful countryside with soft rolling hills. The views and the sunrises were incredibly beautiful! The property was Located a 15-20 minute relaxing drive away from Galena. We enjoyed the home and look forward to returning in the future. It is a great escape from the hustle of Chicago.

Great Family Getaway from the City
The entire property was just as expected! The pictures are 100% accurate. The beds are super comfortable, the kitchen is fully stocked, and the layout of the house is adorable/perfect. We were also so happy to see some snow during the New Years weekend. We had a blast sledding down the side of the property! Jolene was super helpful during the booking process and answered all of my questions and requests.

Perfect for a weekend getaway
We love this property and have stayed multiple places. The kitchen is perfect for making your meals when not shopping in town. Beds are comfy. Couldn't use the fire pit due to weather but we loved sitting around it on our prior stay. Could use new towels and linens for the pull out sofa. Also, there is a hair dryer despite the listing saying they don't have one.
