The best service ever
From the moment I arrived I was touched and impressed by the warm greeting from Wan and another guy at reception (so sorry to forget your name). As my 5 day stay progressed I received such good care from not only these two guys but also from Tim and Jay, both who spoke English extremely well and went out of their way to help me have the best stay possible. Travelling solo isn't easy, but the extremely professional and friendly service I consistently experienced made my stay very pleasant. The room was also lovely and the hotel is in a perfect location. It isn't an expensive 5 star hotel, but excellent value for money.

I booked a suite and received a terrible tiny room in another hotel because they moved us there due to technical problems in our original suite, I didn’t really believe … I asked them to show me the room so I can compare and told me they didn’t have the key, come on!!!!

Clean and friendly staff, which is what I look for. Not a 5 star hotel so not scoring as such. Location was close to everything but prefered my other stays location that was to the north of the lake better, this is not anything against the hotel. Would recommend.

The staff were so nice, I would give the staff 5 stars. Nothing was too much. Location is very central. Shower was good and bed comfortable. But i cannot give this hotel a high star rating. Firstly, the ‘deluxe city view room’ I booked had no city view but a view of a wall. They need to change the name as it is misleading. The photos on Expedia showed it having a big balcony which was incorrect - the photos were of a different room category. This also needs to be changed. The room was generally very dusty so my allergies suffered. Furniture was old fashioned and stained and there was too much furniture crammed into a small space. And sound proofing was terrible - I was awoken at 6.30am by other guests walking down the corridor, and from 8am by the cleaners moving furniture upstairs.

All the staff especially Jay was really courteous and helpful. The property was close to good restaurants and shops. Unfortunately the water heater was not working well during our last 2 days and the security lock on the room door was broken. All in all, it was a really good stay though.

Great location for this hotel
We only stayed one night at this hotel, location was great and very walkable. Very clean, staff was very attentive. Some fruit available in lobby on your way out, there is a functional elevator here if u can't walk up stairs. Ac works great, but we took 2 showers here and there was no hot water at all, showers or sink, so that was rather uncomfortable. Aside from this it was great.

We had a wonderful stay here! I had my husband and three children, and we had adjoining rooms that worked out very nicely. The staff couldn't have been more helpful - they carried bags, opened doors, gave recommendations, and even loaned me cash when I was short. They also arranged rides and tours for us. The area around the hotel is great, with lots of coffee shops and restaurants. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful hotel, staff, and location.
This was an excellent first stop on my tour of Vietnam. The staff was exceptional. Jay was the absolute best. He organized my tour and transportation to Ha long bay, my overnight train, and he was so friendly. If you can afford the difference, the balcony room is much better. It is so bright and very nice. I was room 902 at the top of the hotel in the back. The location is amazing, there is Michelin star Pho 100 feet from the hotel, and very close to St Joseph’s cathedral for a morning coffee. This is a great place to start or end your Vietnam trip.

We originally had reservations at the Noble Swan. They emailed to let us know they had an overflow, and we had to stay somewhere else. We didn't have an option. We were relocated to the Hanoi center silk hotel. Jay was very gracious and went out of his way to make us comfortable. The location was very loud with music until three in the morning, we didn't sleep.

property located on a very quiet one way street. It is also walking distance to old quarters main attractions such as walking street or the train coffee areas and there are near by convenient stores at your service when its late night and you need something. During the day the street isnt extremely crowded with traffic. The staffs were friendly and polite

We had reserved our stay months prior but when we arrived at the hotel after a long and tiring trip they informed us that our room was not available as the guest staying there previously had not vacated. Instead of removing the previous guest from the room once their stay had ended they chose to turn us away and put us in another hotel which was of a lesser standard. I would not recommend staying at this hotel if you do indeed want to have a room to sleep in when you visit Hanoi.
