Very Good

We had a great stay in Hannibal. The house fit three couples and our three kids comfortably. The location was nice and house was as expected. The bathroom upstairs could use some updates with the shower but since we had a short stay it wasn’t too bad.
Great place for our group. So glad there was a bedroom downstairs as one of our party wouldn't have been able to do the stairs. Old home that was nicely updated.
Comfortable for 4 sisters to relax and enjoy the charming town of Hannibal; cave tours, winery, brewery, walking along the river and vintage shops all nearby.
We had a wonderful time. Plenty of room for the 4 kids to spread out. Quiet neighborhood. Sat outside beautiful front porch. Very comfortable. Cooked my families favorites and enjoyed the sites of Hannibal at our leisure. Great place to stay.

Convenient to downtown
Overall met our needs. Needs to find a solution to make the step into the kitchen safer.
We went to Hannibal for a girls weekend during the Chocolate Tour. The house was perfect and in a great location. We were within walking distance of the square. Our house was supplied with all we needed. There was 5 of us and we each had our own room with plenty of space. I would highly recommend this wonderful house. Thank for allowing us to enjoy your home.
had a great time in hannibal. the house was nice and big. very accommodating!! owners were very easy to communicate with. good location. not on a busy street, but near downtown. great get away. thanks
Everyone in our group was very impressed with the house. We were all happy with the quality of the furnishings, the design and functionality of the kitchen, each of us felt like we got a good night's sleep from the beds we slept in. The showers are good and there were plenty of towels. We used the stove and the barbecue grill and both worked fine. We were very happy with the location. It was our first trip to Hannibal, we're glad we had such a nice place to stay at!
We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful home. The vintage/antique decor made things feel so welcoming. Yet every modern convenience was there - the baths and kitchen had plentiful towels etc. The main floor bedroom and bath was perfect for my mom while the rest of us had plenty of room in the bedrooms upstairs. The updated kitchen had coffee, tea, sugar etc- there was even a grinder so I’ll bring my beans next time! The neighborhood looked a little run down but we felt safe and were close to everything we wanted to see. The thoughtfulness of the owner was evident everywhere in the house. Thanks for a great stay!

Ok, but street is questionable
The house was very spacious. It wasn’t the cleanest, with items that previous tenants left lying around and stuff kind of everywhere. And could tell they just finished refurbishing as tools were still all over, etc. But overall it was a nice house. There is a bit of a mold smell which caused several of us to have allergy issues unfortunately.
The house is the most beautiful house on the street as many are condemned, run down, etc. Definitely didn’t feel the safest, but nothing happened. It is very close to Main Street. 3 min drive. We drove to places and then walked as it isn’t exactly close enough to walk to most historic places and we didn’t feel safe walking on the street we were on. However, the host was wonderful and overall we did have a great time enjoying the house.

Moldy/Musty Smell
The house has a moldy/musty smell that we brought home with us on our clothes, shoes, suitcases, etc.
The house was not completely clean when we arrived. It is only partially remodeled and needs a lot more work. The pictures give a false impression of the condition of the house. We will never rent this house again.
Two couples from different states met for a rendezvous in Hannibal because it was "in the middle". We had a great weekend! The house was roomy, served our needs well when we wanted to go out (walking distance from everything - restaurants and diners, the lighthouse, the dock, Twain Festival activities, shops, and trailhead/hiking in the nature preserve), as well as a space for staying in and playing cards, doing a jigsaw puzzle, grilling supper, or enjoying coffee and conversation on the patio in the mornings. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had all the appliances, utensils and wares we needed. Outdoor patio furniture needed cleaning and the bathroom in the downstairs bedroom could have used a touch up. There are some unkempt houses in the block, but we never felt unsafe. We would love to return next year and continue exploring the town and we would not hesitate to book this house again.
As yearly visitors to Hannibal for well over a decade, we always enjoy our stay in this quaint and lovely river town. This grand old Hannibal house fit the bill for the five of us quite nicely. It is located close to the downtown area, but in an older residential neighborhood; others have complained about this, but as the temp was in the 70's the weekend we were here, I spent a great deal of time on the front porch and I never felt unsafe.
There is ample room for sleeping and with four ladies in the family, the three bathrooms came in handy. The kitchen is nicely appointed and modern, and suited our needs beautifully. We enjoyed the board games in the well-lit dining room. The beds were comfortable and we all slept well. The linens and towels were quite white and clean. One thing to note: the banister on the staircase doesn't go all the way to the top. We also took the baby gate from downstairs and placed it at the top of the stairway at night so our little didn't get disoriented. We loved our stay in Hannibal and Barry was a gracious host who accommodated our needs.
We enjoyed this house. The size was great for what we were looking for and would make a great place for a large gathering. Also, the location was walking distance to the city center and the river.
I enjoyed the property because it was in a quiet part of town. The bedrooms are beautiful, and the kitchen was well stocked. If you're not a walker, I feel the property is too far away from downtown. I would stay at this property again.

Our Stay
We are all older, so we enjoyed the stay...neighborhood was a little rough looking....but we did not have any problems!
Did wish there was a washer and dryer on site.
No place for trash, frig was not very clean, 1st floor was not very clean, noticed chips and stains over carpet in bedroom. Also all trash cans in rooms were dirty...inside and out. TV upstairs did not work either?
The house was nice otherwise.....!!!

Big house close to downtown
The house needs some updates like all the carpet in the bedrooms. It has a nice kitchen! Close to downtown. With a few cosmetic updates this would be a really nice place .

Family holiday.
Vintage House in older neighborhood with 5 bed rooms. Living room and dining area where on the small side for 10 people. Bedrooms where nice size. Kitchen with 2 ovens made preparing holiday meals easier. House could have been cleaner and some things needed to be fixed. Stairs narrow and steep to second floor.
Owner was easy to communicate with and provided extra chairs and folding table for dinning.
Overall we enjoyed our time at the property.
