Cozy getaway mins from Michigan Tech, Ski & Snowmobile trails & Lake Superior

Beautiful, 1100sf, remodeled home away from home with over 120ft x 20ft of winter TRAILER parking! Snowmobile trails are only a few short blocks (equal to 1 city block) away and are easily accessible from the house. You can ride your sled to the Hancock/Lake Linden trail. Most often there's snow on the roads. Boasts all the amenities; Central air and heating, 50" TV with Roku, Wifi, bluetooth speaker, comfortable beds and bedding, all new kitchen appliances. Along with the basics, the kitchen includes a microwave, airfryer, blender, hand mixer, toaster oven and electric griddle... everything you need to make a home-cooked meal.
Enjoy coffee from the coffee bar, with a kuerig, traditional coffee pot or French press. An assortment of teas are also provided.
Enter through the back HEATED porch with all you need to store your Winter gear. Plenty of wall hooks, 2 boot dryers/heaters, boot trays and helmet hangers. A perfect place for ski equipment as well. A bonus to be able to put on warm winter gear!
The enclosed front porch is lined with windows, rattan furniture and a ceiling fan....perfect for morning coffee or a cocktail in the warmer months. A sunny day heats it nicely in the winter months.
The two bedooms upstairs have very comfortable mattresses and bedding, luggage racks, dressers and the larger has a closet for hanging clothing. There is a queen murphy bed on the main level in the living area that pulls down for additional sleeping (the same comfortable mattress as the upstairs beds) A pack-n-play is available upon request.
There are 2 full bathrooms, one upstairs with a shower, and one with a tub/shower downstairs. I should mention the water pressure is incredible!! Both bathrooms have shampoo, conditioner and body wash dispensers for your convenience. Towels, and wash cloths are also provided.
The dining room seats 6 and a high chair is available upon request.
All this and only minutes away from MTU (3.2 miles away), 1.5 miles to Downtown Houghton, 1.4 miles to Downtown Hancock, a few short blocks to Mount Ripley Ski Hill and the Hancock /Lake Linden Snowmobile Trail. Only 46 miles to Copper Harbor, 2.7 miles to the Quincy Mine (a great tour), 11 miles to McClain State Park (Lake Superior beach) and if you're lucky you'll experience the Northern lights from many places just minutes away.

Wonderful property! Well equipped with the essentials and much, much more. Very clean! Perfect location for exploring the Keweenaw and minutes from Houghton and Michigan Tech. Highly recommend! Will stay here again when we return.

Newly renovated home in Hancock
We had a wonderful stay in this lovely home. The home was very clean, the kitchen had everything we needed to fix some meals, the enclosed front porch was a cozy spot to enjoy morning coffee and the beds were very comfortable! Nice Home in Hancock
We enjoyed our stay here. The home was clean and well-cared for. It was very comfortable and had what we needed. We cook most meals and the kitchen was equipped for that. The front porch is a great spot to relax. Communication with the owner was great. Next time we are in the area, we will seek out this home. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful time staying here. The home was very cute and cozy, the location was great for us since we visited our daughter at Tech. The Kitchen is very well stocked with everything you would need we enjoyed cooking some home cooked meals and spending time together.

Quiet neighborhood super nice property
We stayed here for a long weekend. Plenty of space, kitchen well stocked, and very clean. We weren't there while the ski hill was open, but there is a heated enclosed porch that would seem perfect for that! Host was super nice. Will be staying again when we visit the area!

Family Vacation
We had a wonderful time on our vacation and enjoyed the home so much. It was our first time staying more in town and they did not disappoint. It was a very quiet neighborhood and easy to get in and out to our adventures. The house was very clean and accommodating for our family of 5. The dining room light was a perfect night light for our little one who slept in the Murphy bed. The snacks and coffee bar was a special touch. While we did a final walkthrough we missed a camera charger and Jodi offered to ship it back to us. Wonderful hosts and would definitely stay with them again.

Perfect for our stay
Clean, comfy and would definitely stay here again. All kinds of extra kitchen amenities like crockpot, air fryer, Kuerig or standard coffee pot and anything else you need. The towels were soft and I may be buying a new mattress! Truly it was a great place to stay and would definitely select this location next time. Easy access to all Copper Country has to offer. Our host responded quickly if we had any questions too.

The property was newly renovated. It was spotless inside. The kitchen was fully equipped for a family. The dining room was spacious. The bedrooms were nice and the beds were very comfortable. Bathrooms were also great with a rain head shower. Check in and check out were very easy. We never saw any neighbors and the neighborhood was very quiet. Thank you for a great stay.

Great Place
The house is really nice. There were all kinds of appliances ready for use, more than I am used to seeing including air fryer, crock pot, and coffee grinder. The pots and pans looked new. The dishes were very nice. The owner even stocked the freezer with ice. The beds were fantastic, including the Murphy bed. It was great having 2 full bathrooms. The location was easy to get to and from Houghton for graduation. The house was comfortable for my husband, mom and father-in-law. Plenty of room for our sons to gather after the ceremony. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely stay here again.

MTU Visit
Thank you Jodi for such a beautiful place to stay while visiting Michigan Tech in January. Whoever cleans your house did an amazing job as it was spotless! We loved that you left the heater on for us in your entryway and the fact that there was a place for boots, skis, and helmets. The boot warmers were a nice touch. We also enjoyed the convenience of being so close to Mont Riley. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. The driveway had ample parking and was plowed and ready for our arrival. You have truly thought of everything to make our stay enjoyable! We would definitely stay at your home again for future trips!

Just like home
My family and I needed a place to stay as my mother had passed. My hometown is near by so it was a nice location to be able to step away and regroup. The host was very kind and when we arrived had flowers and a card for us which I did not expect at all. I know when I’m home in the UP people are so kind and caring. The house itself was immaculate and very updated. You barely wanted to get out of the bed because they were so comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked and the crock pot was especially appreciated. Furniture was modern and comfortable. The dining room very nice too. Everything we needed was there. Such a quiet neighborhood and an excellent place for some peaceful respite. Would recommend to anyone. Thank you for the effort you put in to make a comfortable space that feels like a home.

Excellent and Beautiful Property
We drove in from out of State for an event at Houghton, MI and were very fortunate to find this beautiful property on Vrbo to stay for 2 night on the weekend. This property is very beautifully renovated, it was very clean, it had everything you will need for a family. It worked out so perfect for our family of five, it was like being home away from home. There were complementary snacks in the refrigerator which our kids enjoyed very much. There were plenty of clean towels and bathrooms had shampoo, conditioner and bath soap installed already in them in case you forgot to bring some. The interior of the home is beautifully decorated and the kitchen was adequately stocked with beautiful quality kitchen ware. If we are ever in the area again, we hope we will be lucky to stay at this property again. It was a very positive and beautiful experience for us to stay at this property. Very highly recommend. 10/10 plus many bonus points for the thoughtfulness and care that has gone into making this property one of the most comfortable stays we have ever utilized in our many travel adventures.
