Considered one of the best locations in all of Hana town area, the Gold Coast of Hana. Centrally located near the best swimming beach, Hana town and the National parks.

Private vacation rental with the vintage style Hawaii ambiance and decor! Newly refurbished in 2019!

Hale Manu, which means the 'Bird House', is a large two-bedroom guesthouse, privately located in the rear of our property with great ocean views from the spacious deck. The Hawaiian styled architecture includes open beamed, vaulted ceilings, a large center cupola for great airflow, an open floor plan and a large lanai for evening dining under the stars or morning coffee with the sunrise.

Over time, we have completely renovated, including a large fully equipped kitchen, an all tile bathroom, queen sized beds with high thread count all cotton bedding, propane BBQ and an additional table for dining on the lanai. The ocean facing bedrooms are conducive to romantic sultry evening breezes.

Free high speed wireless internet access, Netflix and Amazon Prime movies, free landline phone service to USA and Canada, washer/dryer, microwave and more. You can also enable your cellphone calls to the internet.

Hale Manu is perched at the rear of our fully landscaped, two-acre property, providing privacy. Hamoa Beach, considered the best in town, is just minutes away. We provide beach fins, chairs and beach towels.

The Hana Guest Houses are in an area named (Malanai) after the gentle cooling breezes, known for this area of Hana. We are located just 3.6 miles (a five minute drive) outside of Hana Town center in the Maka’alae district, which is considered the most highly desired area of Hana.

Perfect spot for Haleakala NP visit
So happy we found this wonderful spot so we could easily get to the Kipahulu side of the park. The owners/managers were so helpful in providing lots of information about Hana. The architecture of the house is really unique... we loved it!

Lovely spot.
Being tucked away in the back of the property provides complete privacy. Lovely to come into the house already aired out with windows open, fans blowing and Hawaiian music playing. Very clean, would love to stay again.

Kitchen had a good range of appliances including a blender we used to make healthy smoothies. You can tell that the hosts take great pride in their rental property as everything was neat, tastefully furnished and decorated and clean.

Very nice to come back to at the end of some busy days! Had everything we needed to feel comfortable in a home away from home, plus lush surroundings and close to the beach to head to for a different type of relaxation when we wanted. Very clean and well cared for. Owners checked on us a few times to make sure all was well given the length of time we stayed (11 days) and were very thoughtful and friendly.

Perfect and exactly what we were looking for. Great location. Beautiful house with an amazing very well-stocked kitchen. Surrounded by lush gardens and birds chirping. Great views and getting to listen to the waves overnight was an unexpected bonus. Very easy arrival process. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

The location is super convenient for some of Hana's highlights - Hamoa Beach (5 mins), Ohe'o Pools & Pipiwai Falls hike (30 mins)...the house has everything you need. The only minor issue was how hot it was inside in the afternoon, though it cooled down nicely in the evening (at the end of March).

My partner and I stayed at this place and it was exactly as advertised. The house is well built and open and airy, with all of the kitchen amenities you will need (and then some). The attention to detail is great and the communication with the manager/owner was just the right amount and so easy. Definitely recommend staying here in this beautiful house, with perfectly ripe avocados dropping in your yard every couple of hours, and close proximity to some of the best nature and food that Hana has to offer.

Breathtakingly beautiful
Our group of four spent one night at Hale Manu and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The house is beautiful, beds were comfortable, the kitchen has everything you could possibly need, and the view and sound of the wind in the trees and the ocean beyond were like therapy. It's an easy walk along the road to Hamoa Beach and the Venus pool--both of which were far more stunning and enjoyable than the crowded experience at the nearby Waiʻānapanapa State Park. Communication with the property managers was excellent. If we ever have a chance to return to Hana, we would book a week here in a heartbeat.

Paradise in Hana
This charming guest house exceeded our expectations! Tucked away off the road at the back of the property, we had plenty of privacy to enjoy the lush beauty of Hana and the surrounding area. The house was clean, well stocked, and had a chill vibe that was just what we were looking for. The house is just outside of the town but very accessible to it. The owner clearly cares for the house and was responsive and helpful. We would highly recommend this accommodation and would love to return!

Relaxing Hana Visit
We loved the comfort and privacy of the Hale Manu cottage. It was a convenient location to sites both north and south of Hana. Starting the day sitting on the deck beneath the giant avocado tree was a pleasure. The kitchen was fully supplied for eating in. There was plenty of space to relax. The owners supplied just about everything you would need to enjoy the local beachs - beach towels, snorkel gear, boogie boards, folding chairs. Wish we could have stayed longer than 3 days.

Best Bungalow!
We have decided if we build a home - it will have this floor plan. Open welcoming, and spacious - large kitchen, quality wood table to bring the family together, and fun sitting area. When we came in island music welcomed our senses and flowers freshly strewn through the rooms were visual delights. The beautiful grounds had the most amazing flowers and a huge avocado tree. Floor fans were welcome for the sitting area and bedrooms. Ceiling fans helped move the air. You could see a bit of the ocean from the bedrooms. Loved the house geckos! Just delightfully beautiful and so welcoming - like coming home. Mahalo for such a wonderful family experience!

Beautiful location
We stayed for 3 nights. It was a beautiful property. Really glad that we stayed in January, any other time of year would have probably been too warm to be comfortable since there is no air-conditioning. There are a lot of fans and we really enjoyed cooking in the big kitchen while our friends sat at the bar. Downsides include hard mattresses, hard chairs and not very comfortable couches. It is a beautiful location and really one of the only places we could find in Hana with 2 bedrooms.

Great place to stay no major issues. Dryer was very noisy, windows are very old some are falling apart. A truck went directly behind the house each day at 5:30 am very very loud. Everything else was perfect.

Lovely, country feel, vintage like home. Felt like I went back in time, but still with creature comforts. Quiet and peaceful. Lovely ocean view from the deck. Great beds. Not sure if it's possible, but air conditioning would have made the place a 5 star. Overall, we're very happy with the place and the location to all the places we wanted to go. Thank you to Mr. Collins for replying so quickly to every concern we had. Thank you for having us.
