A bit old fashioned but well maintained hotel. Bed is very comfortable although I slept on the sofa bed. Lobby is very cozy and the the introduction of the history of the 3 generation family business is a highlight.

Nice Hotel in a Great Area
The Hotel Baseler Hof is a nice German hotel in a great area. The rooms are small but comfortable, but the rooms of those in my party lacked modern conveniences such as irons, coffee machines or air conditioners or fans.

Are hotel guests really dispensable?
I have stayed at the Baslerhof many times in the last 15 years, it was always my hotel of choice. But last weekend that changed when I was curtly reminded by the Reception Manager, after bringing to his attention that I’d been waiting an hour and 20 minutes for a bottle of water to be delivered to my room, that I was not the only guest in the hotel. Well, there’ll be one guest less from now on.
