"Had a great stay... only down side being we were only there for 2 nights Lovely hotel, with very friendly staff. Rooms great and well appointed.Great setting and relaxing after or before safari. Only bit of advice is dont go too late for breakfast or buffet evening meal, as its all been hoovered up. Would recommend and if we find ourself in same area again, will re book. "

"Such a lovely little place to stay for the night. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. The staff were so kind and lovely, the home cooked food was some of the best we’ve had in Sri Lanka. They also arranged a safari for us, we had a jeep to ourselves, and saw many animals (elephants, monkeys, mongoose). All in all a fabulous experience, and incredible value for money. "

"A wonderful stay at Mansala, with very friendly and helpful hosts. We had a room with balcony and two double beds for us and our son. The owner was able to arrange our safari, taxi and trip to the Elephant Transit home. All very close by. Excellent communication. They organised some water for the early morning safari and breakfast on our return. Freshly cooked and plentiful breakfast. The family were generous with their hospitality"

"We stay group 18 person have 8 rooms. Everything is good.Is like 4 star hotel. Good food nice breakfast no complaints Definitely.Recommend for anybody to stay in this hotel."

"Absolutely stunning property and surroundings! House and rooms are nice and clean but public spaces felt small for the 7 rooms (14 people). It is nice if you are happy to socialize and share space. Staff was amazing and accommodating - food was good, not amazing - a little hit or miss. We didn’t have the full board / all inclusive like others and I felt like the prices were high for Sri Lanka. Menu was more accommodating to the full board. This is a remote location so plan to be spending most meals at the hotel if you don’t have activities planned. Overall good experience! "

"Planters House was fantastic! The team were all so lovely and welcoming, and the views are honestly to die for. Being located up in the mountains, surrounded by nothing but tea, was just beautiful and so peaceful. The hotel doesn’t have a restaurant, instead you order what you want at what time you want it, which is such a unique experience. As others have mentioned, the hotel is a Jeep-ride up a steep mountain which adds to the experience and sense of adventure. The hotel is a little rough around the edges and not as polished as the pictures, but for us this added to the charm. "
