"Absolutely great place to enjoy the peace and serenity of a lakefront retreat. Hugely spacious A-frame house with kitchen and baths that contribute to your comfort. Hosts, Donna & Paul, offered friendly waves & hellos, there if you need them, leave you to yourself if you choose. "We enjoyed our stay here! Cabin was clean, comfortable, and convenient. Bill and Mary were exceptional hosts. The boat tour with Bill was informative and a wonderful way to spend time on the lake without having to worry about navigating the maze of passageway. Will certainly stay here again!"

"At first no luck on fishing, but finally caught a small bass, a large carp, and a small catfish on minnows. We had some rain and some cold but the Lord provided nice breaks in between so we could venture more outdoors. Took the boat tour and ate at Big Pines Lodge. Sat by fire pit and on the deck when weather permitted. Cabin is beautifully decorated and had all the things you need. Only issue is stairs if you have knee problems."

"All I can say is WOW! Frank and Linda are absolutely great folks and the view from the back porch was beautiful! Linda was so thoughtful and had baked muffins, cookies, and an anniversary package for us! Btw her baking skills are level 10! I very much enjoyed visiting with Frank at our check in. The proposer was PEACEFUL exactly what we were looking for. We will 100% be making a return visit to this gem in east texas. "

"Perfect for a weekend getaway! Just 15 miles from historic downtown Jefferson where we spent the days. Then back to the cabin on Lake of the Pines to watch the sunset on the porch of the cabin. So quiet the only noise was the birds at the water and the squirrels chattering and playing. "
